When Aren entered the room, he saw Victoria deeply engrossed in a book. He approached her with a gentle smile.

"Sweetheart, are you reading a book?"

Without taking her eyes off the pages, Victoria responded briefly.

"Yes."

This time, her voice had neither hesitation nor a stammer; it was clear, composed, and graceful. Aren sat down on the edge of the bed, observing Victoria for a while. It was as though she had completely forgotten his presence in the room, immersed in her book.

This surprised Aren a little. Normally, Victoria never left his side for even a moment. But now, she sat calmly on the chair, reading. After watching her a bit longer, Aren quietly moved toward the door. Just then, Victoria glanced at him, but she didn't budge. In the past, if Aren so much as attempted to leave the room, she would have immediately followed. But now, she seemed not to care if he went out.
