Subconsciously, a grin appeared on Viktor's face for a split second. Listening to his heavy heartbreaking words, the elven girl fell into despair and started to think about all the maltreatment her family gave her.

Not just her family, but the whole kingdom never felt a hint of hesitation to throw her in front of a monster's claw to save their life. 

Viktor glared deeply at her soul and saw drastic changes after taking his words inside her heart. Even though she was a little child, the trauma made her age increase mentally. 

Again, Viktor couldn't stop his grin so he had to hide his face with his hands. He couldn't allow his work to get disrupted in the middle of his manual brainwashing process for a smile.

He had to act natural.

"Child, what is your name?" Viktor asked and patted her small head filled with golden locks. His hands caressed her hair but a knot stopped his fingers from reaching its tip. 

Her hair was a mess.
