Chapitre 252: The talk

Lahan waited anxiously in the familiar bedroom. The warmth that once brought joy and comfort to his heart was now filled with anxiety.

He was afraid for the first time in ages. So anxious that he began to sweat profusely. The last time he felt this way, he watched his mother die before him.

Lahan watched helplessly as she was beheaded in public for giving birth to an abomination. One they deemed too important to kill but not to punish.

Of course, they were afraid. Afraid of the strength he had that far surpassed what they knew about their own species. 

How could they not feel threatened? There was no other being like him. One that possessed more than one type of gene.
