Reqiel felt like he could float in the water for an eternity; it wasn't just the weight of his hair that he was free of but also the symbolic nature of cutting his hair, it carved his new freedom in stone.

His feet were solidly on the ground so he didn't have to worry about drowning like when he was in the deep end with Andras. He rose out of the water for the umpteenth time, a smile blooming on his face as strands of his hair merely clung to the side of his face, a soft breeze touching the back of his neck.

Andras still held onto the length of the Angel's hair, watching him enjoy the bath in his little way - which included dunking his head underwater so many times and sitting on the steps and letting the water buoy his limbs.

He had been ready to leave the bath even before the pesky humans arrived but he sat still until the Angel was ready to leave.
