Hiding quietly beside the door of the house, Ashur waited for Vic’s signal before attacking. He was tense and on high alert, prepared to destroy the wooden door and enter the house at any moment.
“Now!” Vic shouted and the Lost Warriors sprung into action.
Heart racing, Ashur kicked down the door and burst into the house. Luckily for him, the door wasn’t very solid and gave way easily.
From the other side of the door, Vic rushed into the house. Brandishing a sword, he called out, “We are the Lost Warriors. Release him immediately!”
One of the teenagers with a smug expression on his face, who seemed to be the leader of the group, scoffed, “You? You scrawny bunch are the Lost Warriors?”
“Bah!” Another one of them said scornfully. “I thought the Lost Warriors were some powerful team that was undefeatable. It turns out that they’re not much older than us!”
Vic gritted his teeth and bit back a snarky response. His main priority was to get Rani out safely.
