Ruby turns only to come face to face with Alexander whose hair is disheveled his eyes looking sorry with a hint of panic in his blue orbs.
''What do you want Alpha''Ruby asks and tries to remove her hand from his grip only for Alexander to tighten his hold on her.
''I-We were not doing anything Ruby,she was trying to get close to me when u opened the door I di-''Alexander starts explaining what she witnessed in the room,his rambbling is cut off when Ruby chuckles,a dark void chuckle before tilting her head to the side.
''Look Alpha king I don't care what you and your queen do so please excuse me''Ruby says and tries to walk away only for Alexander to forcefully drag her body towards it causing her chest to collide with his roughly.
''You don't care''He grits out different emotions coming out of his voice as he glares at Ruby hurt by her words.
''Yes I don't,now excuse me''With that she tears away from him and walks away from the man who stand in the hallway like a pole.
Reaching the dinning area she see judith who smirks at her and Ruby returns it with a smirk of her own and judith's smirk instantly falls confusion filling her.
She thought maybe from what Ruby saw she would be crying in some corner and will not show up for dinner however the woman is here before her acting nonchalant.
''Serve them their food''Vladimir orders when Alexander takes his seat opposite Ruby who just focus on her meal ignoring his eyes on her.
Pissed and probably hurt he digs into his food and pushes away judith's habd which went to touch his forearm and Althea and Zach let out a chortle at his actions but immediately stop laughing when everybody raises their eyebrow.
They are eating in peace when a guard suddenly runs into the room flustered and looking panicked.
They turn their attention to the vampire who bows down before walking towards Vladimir.
''Your highness the east border is being attacked''He says and instantly Vladimir's brows crease his eyes narrowing.
The others immediately drop their cutleries to listen to what the guard is saying.
''Attacked?by who''Vladimir asks his body almost tremmbling with rage at the thoughts of any intruder in the vampire kingdom.
''I-they are strange creatures your highness,very fast and powerful''The man finishes and Vladimir stands up abruently which makes the chair fall from the force he uses to stand up.
Placing his hand on the incompetent bodyguards neck he grips it tightly and the man instantly starts gasping for breath.
Usually Vampires are not so easily weakened but it is the Vampire king after all and soo Vlad's strength and speed was a million times their's.
Ruby stands up from her seat walking towards Vladimir to place her hand on his and soothingly rubs the hand and he instantly let's go of the guard who runs out of the dinning area.
Ruby turns to hug the angry man who wraps his arms around her.
