Kristof's Point of View

Aláine and I stood there after I had marked her, just holding her in my arms. I could smell her arousal and was just as turned on as her. Unfortunately, she was still human at this stage, and I might hurt her if we went at it again straight away. I didn't want to hurt her in any way. She was the most precious thing in the world right now, so I held off doing anything else.

Letting my mind wander for a little, I stared into her eyes. Aláine had not only given herself to me in terms of her body, but she had given herself to the mating bond. She had allowed me to mark her and claim her. In about a week or so, there would be a full moon, and we would be celebrating.

Considering it was September, it would be the Harvest Moon. Our celebrations would be raucous and would end in a pack run. I would have to get Noah or one of the pack Elders to run that since I would be with Aláine.
