Clyde woke up to a hard splash of cold water, gasping for breath as soon as he regained consciousness.

Both of his arms were chained to wooden pillars, and the same burly man he last saw before he fainted due to the sedative came to yank the cloth stuffed in the Alpha's mouth harshly.

"It seems that they didn't lie about it. This Aldric bastard truly exists." His deep voice echoed in that dark abandoned building as he caught Clyde's jaw, looking at him up close as if he'd just captured a wild animal. "You must be the only heir they are trying to hide all this time."

Clyde was about to spit on the man's face when he heard his last sentence, thinking that it didn't make sense.
