Dylan slightly turned his eyes to the side when he felt someone's piercing gaze on his back.

Lucas averted his eyes as soon as Dylan looked over his shoulder, then entered the car with a serious look before he drove it away from there.

"Why is he not coming?" Dylan caught up with the blond and asked without taking his eyes off the bustling atmosphere in front of him. 

He had spent most of his life in the underground city of Manhattan, whose dwellers were mostly lowlifes and prostitutes, not these neat-looking, somewhat eccentric people in fashionable outfits.

"Dunno. Maybe his boss told him to run an errand." Ryley answered nonchalantly, as if he wasn't making reference to himself when he mentioned the word 'boss'.
