Axel chuckled. "No wonder Damon clung to you like that. He knew you will be an amazing Luna. Always thinking about others first." He took her hand into his and gave her a squeeze. "Fight for what's yours and be happy, Talia. That's how you will repay me. And when the time comes for me to pay the fee, if you don't agree, fight for me as well."

Evanora cackled. "That's not how it works."

Axel lifted his chin defiantly. "But that's exactly how it works. The deal is that I will pay you equal value, and I will. There is nothing I can do if my sister comes to take that back."
