While Zina understood why Daemon chose to still reside at his former quarters, what she didn't understand was why the corridors leading to his chambers were empty and devoid of any soul.

Something twisted within Zina at the thought of something bad happening to him. Hell, a tongue had been allegedly delivered to the man and they were yet to trace who was the culprit that was responsible for such blemish. So no matter that Daemon was a supreme shifter, he was still very much a mortal that could die under silver or something worse.
