Chapitre 5: New Properties
Zeke returned home and began planning his next move.
His speculation was actually wrong, fortunately.
The next reward is actually two hundred thousand taps.
He can most likely complete that mission within a day.
He planned on doing it tomorrow.
Right now, Zeke just wanted to sleep.
"Dear! Wake up! It's time to eat dinner!"
Zeke woke up to Eliza's voice.
'I actually don't feel hungry,' Zeke felt.
'It must be due to the rebirth pill'
Zeke decided to eat anyway. Isn't it nice to eat dinner with the person you love?
As they were eating. Eliza finally brought up the five grand that Zeke sent.
"Dear, you accidentally sent me too much for the grocery. I already sent back the remainder, as I only needed about two hundred bucks for our groceries."
Zeke then pulled out his phone and sent her a hundred thousand.
Eliza was surprised.
"What for?" she asked.
"I've already told you. I've made enough to pay off all our debt. I've also invested in some companies and become a shareholder."
Eliza smiled as a teardrop fell. Finally, their life is going to get better. Truth be told, it was hard to adjust to her current life, but she did it for Zeke.
'I'll be able to hold my head higher now'
She was getting bullied a lot after people found out that she had lost her status. Her friends of the same status also left her.
Without her family's support, she had no choice but to transfer to a school she could afford along with her scholarship.
After dinner, Eliza went to sleep while Zeke sat on the couch, drinking some lemon tea.
He was checking out the marketplace.
He could buy items using tap points.
His current tap points were around one hundred thousand. He can use it to buy items, and he could just tap more to earn the points back.
He could buy almost anything with the right amount of points.
He was more interested in things that could increase his power.
The rebirth pill that he was rewarded with costs 30 thousand points.
There were also various magic weapons and armor, like a shirt, that could block any bullets.
He added a few things to his cart.
The next thing he was looking at were properties.
He could buy properties for cheap.
He decided to buy a villa complex, a 5-star hotel, a race track, and the very one that he banks with, One Bank. All for a low price of 50 thousand points.
It seems the system doesn't value the properties of the earth that much.
He then bought a small storage ring and a blade strong enough to withstand his strength.
Thankfully, the way the achievement system works is that his count is still at one hundred thousand.
It seems it counts the total taps in history, not the current amount.
Zeke went to sleep next to Liz.

Zeke decided to check out the new properties he bought.
The hotel was closest, so he took the Trevita and drove his way there.
"I should probably tell Liz about my new car. I should buy her a new one too."
The reason Eliza hasn't found out about the car yet is that the parking lot and the apartment entrance are on opposite sides of the building.
There's no reason for her to go to the parking lot.
"It's decided, I'll buy her a car later"
Zeke finally arrived at the hotel.
The roar of his vehicle attracted the attention of many.
"Wow, it's a supercar!"
"Daddy look! I want one!"
"Ugh so loud."
The other cars around were nothing compared to his car.
Zeke didn't care at all.
He was wearing comfortable clothes with a hoodie and sweatpants, but his car was more than enough to show his wealth.
The valet took his car and he walked towards the clerk's desk.
He was greeted by an extremely tall double glass door which opened automatically for him. Above the door was the name of the hotel.
The Peninsula.
The clerk also saw the commotion, so she paid extra attention to Zeke.
'So young… His family must be extremely wealthy. Oh, to marry such a person."
The woman suddenly began having weird thoughts.
"Ahem, excuse me."
The woman was pulled back to reality.
"H-Hello sir! Good morning! How may I help you?" She acted professional and kind, but she also revealed a little bit of her cleavage.
Zeke noticed the slight change in her body language.
"Tell the general manager of this hotel that the new owner is here."
"Wha? New owner?" The clerk was shocked. This young man was the new owner.
There had been rumors that started this morning about a new owner. So it was indeed true.
But still… so young!
Before calling the general manager, she browsed on her computer at the company's website.
There was a new headline that mentioned the name of the new owner.
"Sir, may I see your ID?"
Zeke gave her his ID as he checked out the place.
The marketplace had pictures as well but seeing it in person was a whole different experience.
The place was filled with gold decorations.
The main thing that catches the eye is the huge crystal chandelier hanging on the super-high ceiling.
"So grand…" Zeke thought.
At this time, another commotion was happening.
"Oh my god! It's her! She's the famous business prodigy!"
"I can't believe she's here!"
"She's even more beautiful in person!"
Zeke turned around to see a woman around his age.
Her beauty could actually rival Eliza.
He simply looked at her and then turned back around.
Who was he kidding? He already had Eliza as well as the five puppets.
'Business prodigy, huh..' Zeke thought.
"Alright, sir! I've already called for the general manager. He's rushing his way here as we speak! Is there anything else you need, sir? Anything?"
She empathized with that word.
"No I'm good," Zeke said before sitting down at the lounge area.
Coincidentally, the beautiful woman also sat down next to him.
Zeke was annoyed but ignored her anyway.
He's actually just talking to Anna and the rest.
All of a sudden, he felt someone pulling his arm.
It was a beautiful woman.
"Heh? What do you want?" Zeke asked as he looked at her.
'God damn, her eyes…'
She had silver eyes with a tint of green. They were extremely mesmerizing.
"Oh, I'm so glad to see you again, my darling."
Her smile is a bit too wide.
"What?" Zeke was stunned. What the hell was this woman saying.
He then saw another man heading towards them.
"Heidi! I didn't think you would come! How are you?" Said the young man.
He had long blonde hair and a pretty face.
'Definitely a playboy' was Zeke's first thought.
When the blonde man saw Heidi holding Zeke's arms, his expression suddenly changed then went back to his happy expression.
"Who is he?" The blonde man asked.
"He is my boyfriend! Now if you don't mind, I'd like to spend our time alone, unbothered" Heidi responded as she held Zeke's arm even tighter.
Zeke was simply watching the show. He didn't even care that he suddenly got involved in someone's problem.
Heidi finally let go of his arm.
"I'm sorry about that. My name is Heidi!"
"Zeke" he responded without looking at her.
"I'll be sure to compensate you, Zeke!" Heidi said.
"Oh yeah? What happens if that guy messes with me instead?" Zeke said, finally looking at Heidi.
He didn't want to look at her because every time he did, he just got mesmerized by her eyes.
"I'll make sure he doesn't," she said.
"Who was he anyway, if you don't mind me asking"
The blonde man's name was Alan, and he was the son of a wealthy family.
He had been courting her, no matter how many times she rejected him.
'Ahh, so it's that kind of story' Zeke thought.
'Oh well. If this guy messes with me, I don't mind teaching him a lesson'
"Zeke! If he does mess with you, can I beat him up? Please!" Bia asked.
'This girl…'
He ignored Bia.
"If you don't mind, would you accompany me to the event?" Heidi asked.
"This event is held by the manager of this hotel. It's to decide who can reserve the Golden Palace!"
"What's the Golden Palace?" Zeke asked
"Are you serious? You don't know the famous Golden Hall? It's an extremely grand place where people can hold any type of event! Only those who are extremely wealthy can reserve the place!"
"Oh, I see." Zeke didn't show much interest in it.
After all, isn't it his now?
'I do want to check it out, though. Isn't that my purpose of coming here?'
"Alright, I'll accompany you"
"Yay!" Heidi held Zeke's arm once more.
'Hopefully, that bastard will leave us alone. This man… He's very handsome! It won't hurt my reputation!' Heidi thought.
"Then can you meet me in my room later? We can go to the Golden Hall together!
"Sure!" Zeke thought 'It's not bad to be accompanied by a beauty while I check out the place'
