Hurt

I'd never seen a person look so menacing. Will's face was drawn into a sneer, his eyes flashed dangerously.

He bought his fist up and hit Jacob in the face again, causing him to groan out I pain.

I heard myself scream, my legs which had been immobile until now seemed to move involuntarily. With every ounce of strength I had I pushed Will away from Jacob's form. I threw my arms around my friend hugging him protectively.

/"Get out of the way, Marriah./" I heard Will's angry voice order.

I refused to budge.

Jacob tried to push me off him but I wouldn't move.

I'd seen what Will could do to people.

Will was a monster. I couldn't let him hurt Jacob.

/"Marriah move! I'm not letting you get hurt./" Jacob ordered, his voice was firm.

/"No!/" I cried out desperately, /"I won't./"

/"Marriah!/" I heard Will shout, he started to step forward towards us. Slowly, his expression was deadly.
