"So, Karl, do you have to be here for the ship to fly properly, or can you just leave the other members of Navigation to do everything?"

"I'll be operating in more of an overseeing role, sir, so it's my job to make sure everything is running well and that the Navigation team has everything that they need. While I don't need to be there per se, it is better for me to be as close to the Navigation team on the central deck as possible. Why, were you thinking of something?"

"Not really. I was just hoping to get some information from both you and the other leaders of the different divisions on this ship, just so that I can get an idea of what we have at our disposal here."

"That'll be fine. I'll go and gather the others and I'll meet you upstairs in your office."

"I have an office?" Gus asked. "I must have missed that."

"You do, sir. Highest point in the ship."
