Chapitre 9: Time of Evolution
At the moment I was forcibly propelled away by the explosion, I felt like I was going to be erased from existence. However, my body was constantly repairing itself, strengthening at a molecular level.
It was excruciating pain, and all I wished for was for it to end. I even reached the point of desiring death, but I didn't go insane thanks to my power, which constantly fortified my mind, keeping it intact. Despite my mind growing stronger, it was an unprecedented torture.
When the last remnants of the kinetic force from the impact were absorbed by the earth, I found myself covered in a lake of magma that had formed from the explosion's heat.
My body quickly adapted to the heat, and in that moment, I closed my eyes, allowing myself to be carried away by the sweet and comforting sensation of numbness as my body drifted in the magma.
When I opened my eyes again, I realized I was buried. I had no idea how many meters deep I was in the ground, but with my newfound strength, I easily managed to escape, creating a gigantic hole. The dense rocks were like water to me; there was no resistance.
I felt incredible. After the euphoria subsided, I took the time to look around, but all I saw was destruction as far as my eyes could see. Everything was covered in a thick layer of smoke, and the sky was shrouded in dark clouds. Thunder and lightning were visible constantly. It was an apocalyptic sight.
With that vision, I embarked once again on my exploration of this unfamiliar world. Not only has the world changed, but I have changed as well. I'm not only referring to my strength; it's also about my unwavering determination, which is stronger than ever.
I will walk the Earth once more as the true sovereign that I am. Nothing and no one will stop me. I will unravel all the secrets and wonders that this universe holds because I have realized what I have always known deep down: I will be the last being.
When the last stars fade away and all the laws of physics cease to exist, when black holes emerge and swallow all matter and light, leaving only the cold, icy darkness of death, I will still be here. Just like my name, I will forever be "Immortal," the last vestige of life to have ever existed in this universe.
