Chapitre 73: Hiding Yun Xi

"Mr. Shen, perhaps you have some news about my daughter?" Lu Guangting asked, trying to pry out any information Shen Yu Han might have about Lu Yun Xi's presence in Beijing. 

"Yu Han, Dad! Look, I came back with a lot of pleasantries," Lu Feng Xi chimed in. Her cheerful voice cut through the tense atmosphere between them, momentarily dispelling the dark clouds hanging over the room. Both men turned to look toward her direction as their faces softened.

"My Xiao Xi, come let Dad see you," Lu Guangting rose to his feet and asked Lu Feng Xi to sit beside him. "You ran to the kitchen the moment you arrived. Did you not miss your father, my lovely daughter?" He extended his hand toward her.

Lu Feng Xi felt slightly confused when she heard her father's affectionate words. He was not that type of man and was typically reserved and stern, but this gesture made her extremely happy. She walked over and sat beside him, a warm smile spreading across her face.
