Chapitre 49: Unnerved

"I apologize for being late. The meeting ran too late," Valerie said once she stepped into the room. 

Stephen Knight was the other person inside the room. He had a cold expression on. He stood up at Valerie's arrival, and a hint of polite smile appeared on his face.

"I understand. Ms. Davies is after all a busy person," he voiced out.

Following that, they exchanged a few more words once Valerie sat down and indicated for him to sit. Stephen identified as Dylan Knight in front of Valerie, and he was would be working on this project as a lawyer.

Valerie didn't understand why her father insisted on having Dylan Knight on this project when they had a well-established legal team. However, he didn't give her any answers despite the persistent questioning.
