Chapitre 58: Anakin's Shadow

Dominik and I are in his SUV, driving down the mountain in the dark. We left for the club later than last time since Ivan only just now got into town. 

This time, Dominik didn't react to the outfit I'm wearing when we met downstairs. He didn't tell me to put a jacket on over the lace sheer top. His gaze didn't drop down to take in my legs in this skirt. He seems completely disinterested. Obviously he's not actually into me. 

It's so weird, and I'm annoyed by it, actually. He shouldn't have pulled me onto his lap the other night. He shouldn't have done any of those things.

"So Ivan is going to meet us there?" It's a question with an obvious answer, but I ask just to say something. The silence between us has turned into something awkward and lonely. 

"Yeah." 

"Is he really going to be in the room when I'm supposed to be reading Mark?" 

"No, you and I will talk to Mark first."
