Chapitre 16: :Cyrus The Final Boss (Job Advancement)

Cyrus slept weak and lifeless from all that fight. He had to rest but it seemed like the rest was a bit too much. Alpha had been sitting on top of him for an hour now, and yet, Cyrus had no idea.

"Bossie... Hm."

Gradually, he began gaining his sight and opening those heavy eyes. The first thing his eyes were well on was Alpha's breast, then down to her naked body. Perplexed, he wondered if it was a dream, so he stretched his hands, wanting to feel them.

'S... Soft,' thought Cyrus.

Bam!

Cy received a sound slap and woke up from his dream only to see himself on a subway train and Alpha beside him.

"Uh, Bossie, are you okay?" asked Alpha, with others looking at him with faces of incomprehension.

Cy rubbed his temples and sighed... "I'm fine."

As the train stopped, the two of them got out and walked to look out the not-so-modern buildings.

Overall, Cy couldn't keep his eyes on himself, his eyes would constantly dance around and see a human with red dragon hands and another with the face of a cat. These were true blood demons.

They reached a building and walked onto the top floor, docked beside a door, and unlocked it.

The inside resembled a narrow road because men and women could be seen facing themselves with PCs. Cyrus and Alpha strolled in, precisely walking towards the glass door ahead where two men adorned in black suits stopped them.

"The two of you can't enter, only the summon was called in."

Alpha let go of Cyrus's muscle region and sat on the waiting bench. "Hurry up, Bossie."

Cy smirked and pushed the door open, revealing a skeleton man in a dark purple gown. One of the demons from the round table.

"Cyrus... Cyrus, Cyrus, Cyrus... Have a seat."

Cy plopped his face but didn't reject the offer, he sat looking at Skeleton who was a bit far from him, and having Iris behind him as a bodyguard.

"Well, I got a job at Advancement, and I was told to come here," said Cyrus.

The Skeleton demon king smiled as if his cheekbone was about to explode, his eyes widening in amusement like a clown.

He rubbed both skeletal palms together and clapped them as he yelled with a bit of joy etched in his tone.

"Behold, Cyrus the Great."

As the skeleton said that, a blue holographic screen materialized around them, displaying what seemed to be Cyrus's encounter, the fight with the guards, the angel, Baras, and all of them were in the different system surrounding the room.

Although Iris had to keep a concentrated facade, she couldn't help but feel impressed.

Cy couldn't believe what he was seeing too, right from when he was summoned, everything was there, all those times, so everything had been recorded.

In all, he felt somewhat happy and elevated. 'I really have grown from being weak,' thought Cyrus, but when he flashed back to the time Baras and Mongrel dealt with him, he clenched his fist.

'No, I haven't grown stronger, I've just been fighting weak opponents,' thought Cyrus with a serious expression.

The skeleton Berserker Demon King smiled at Cyrus and muttered, "So tell us Cyrus, how did you survive one of the deadliest dungeons?"

"Deadliest?" asked Cyrus.

Jokes were now over, the skeleton's demeanor had taken the form of a serious one, and he spoke with a dead voice.

"Yes, these dungeons are ranked from deadly to deadliest."

The skeleton Berserker king said, and by the time Cyrus had sat, a blue dungeon in. The system floated in front of them. "A blue gate is strong but can be overcome."

While calling the different gate Cy had entered, the System would display the type of dungeon the berserker king was explaining.

"A red gate is stronger, and the boss in it cannot be handled by a C-rank skill user, and a purple blood dungeon is deadly. We require a team of demons in a purple blood dungeon."

For the last gate dungeon, the system displayed a dark city with a blood-red sky and a humongous black wormhole with red lightning bolts surrounding it.

"This is a black gate dungeon."

Cy's eyes widened, even from the look alone, he could tell that thing wasn't something he could handle if he came across it. From looking alone, he could tell...

"This is the deadliest gate of them all, you don't meet the monster," he paused.

"The monster is coming to you," muttered the skeleton Berserker king with a cold voice.

Now the fun time was back again, the king jumped up in Joy and yelled, "But it hasn't appeared."

He landed back on the couch and clapped his skeletal hands again. Then a notification popped up for Cyrus.

Cyrus stared at the screen, not knowing if he should be elevated or not. He asked the lingering question in his mind when the notification popped up.

"Does this mean I don't get to find Demon King Barnas?"

Cy glanced at Iris who was sort of engrossed in the battle of Cy vs Mongrel. Then his eyes fell back to the berserker king who scratched his skull.

"Uuuh, I dunno, if the quest pops up again, then yes, but it would be easy as a final boss, because... Oh damnit, Iris recall me," said the berserker king while slamming his skull.

"Uh? Oh, okay... Because Demon King Barnas will send you an invitation to take over your dungeon, but that will only happen if you're good at being the final boss."

Cyrus nodded and glanced back at the notification, it seemed the boss job was better than Hunter, and the freelancer was the highest.
