Chapitre 91: Chapter Thirty-seven

The Colonel was angrier than he could ever remember. The incursion into the area where they thought Rivers hid out had been a failure. The White Moose had posted video of the action and the army people looked ridiculous. At the end of the video they showed the driver and gunner from the captured bombardier. The statement they released with the video made a big deal about them not mistreating the prisoners.

It is not us who are brutal and uncivilized.

The Colonel called up his superiors in Ottawa.

"We need to release information on the original attack," he said, "We should have done it from the start."

"It was your request to keep it quiet," the person on the other end replied. "Now if we release the information, they will claim we created the attack to discredit them. We have no direct proof they were involved. We both know they were, but that won't carry any weight with public opinion."
