Chapitre 97: Graveyard shift

Philip hovered above Alma Inn, peering down at the buildings below. Across the street, he spotted Xavier diligently tending to his night duties. Philip had anticipated crossing paths with him again someday, so he didn't react unusually.

As Xavier leaped from one building to another, he cast a brief, frosty nod in Philip's direction, seemingly aware that Philip was a new dreamwalker. Then, he resumed his duties but remained in the vicinity of the Horse Lover Guild Headquarters, as if waiting for someone.

Philip, in turn, acted as though he were a stranger to Xavier. He also gave no indication that he knew Gerald was sleeping inside their headquarters. Instead, he feigned the role of a novice dreamwalker, struggling to navigate in an astral state.
