Chapitre 165: Matchmaking

As Stefan updated Ruby on all that had happened while she was locked away in her bedroom, his phone started ringing and he wasn't surprised to see that it was his mom calling.

He had expected it following his confession to Ruby's mom, but he wasn't in the mood to talk to her. He still had not forgiven his parents for betraying Ruby the way they had done.

Ignoring the call, Stefan continued the discussion but Ruby gave him a questioning look.

"Why aren't you taking the call?" Ruby asked, and Stefan waved it off.

"It's my mom," he said as though that was going to explain to her why he wasn't taking the call.

"Isn't that more reason you have to pick up?" she asked and he shook his head.

"I don't have to. I know what they want to say and I'm not interested in hearing it," he said and she frowned.
