CH695: Camp Assault
The Odin Eye Satellites continued to prove their worth to Horus and the Pantheon organisation as a whole.
'No your enemy and yourself; and you'll never lose a thousand battles.'
The 'all-seeing' eye of Odin gave HI-Def Soln's forces the ability to do this and then some.
The crowning creation, which triggered Grandmaster Champion Onuoha's progress into the sixth stage of the Mortal Coil Realm, allowed the PMC to keep a watchful eye on the Eritrean Defence Force's movements as well as hack into and intercept their communications.
Everything the Eritreans did or even planned to do was known to the PMC. This allowed it to put in place countermeasures long beforehand.
Aside gaining an invasive ability to gather Intel on the target, the Odin Eye Satellites also allowed Horus to obscure its own activities from the Eritreans.
AUTHOR’S RAMBLING
In case you didn’t see the announcement, my break from writing was due to being in the hospital... again.
If you’ve noticed, the last couple of chapters dragged out the issue more than normal, this was because I wasn’t actually the one who wrote it. I dictated to a friend and got them to type it out for me while I was on bed.
In retrospect, it wasn’t really worth it. Not only wasn’t I satisfied with the quality, it felt like more work than I expected. I usually finish typing and editing a chapter in under four hours depending on the length, we spent a total of about ten over the course of three days to get one done. I couldn’t do most of the correcting I usually do after writing so I felt unsatisfied. To make matters worse, my partner found out what we were doing and she was sooo pissed!
Hell have no fury like an angry woman.
I made it worse by trying to defend our actions by saying I was bored.
I was in the hospital for a stress-related illness. The entire reason I spent so long in the hospital was so the doctors could be sure I got enough rest. When she found out I took up another ‘work’ because I was bored... oh boy she lost it.
Fortunately, things worked out somehow and she let it go.
Anyway, I got discharged yesterday and here we are.
The plan was to finish this camp contract arc with this episode, but I still feel its lacklustre so I’m going to chip in a revenge mission in the next chapter.
Stay tuned and thanks for the support!
See ya in the next chapter!
