Wala namang espesyal sa pagkabata ko bukod sa muntikan na akong mapatay nang ina ko.

"For this month, you're all aware of the competition right?" Bungad na bungad nang guro namin pagkalapag na pagkalapag niya nang mga libro.

"As you can see, we can't tell–"
"Are you saying that I'm not a good instructor?" Napaatras ang guro namin. Nagsimula ang bulung-bulungan sa paligid.
Tila ba hindi sila makapaniwala sa salitang lumalabas sa bibig ni Lady Rebel.
"Of course, you're a wonderful instructor Lady Rebel. You're my outstanding student after all!"
"Then, I guess Mr. Phoenix should keep his mouth shut. Staring at the Princess of the fourth Kingdom means execution."
"Well, I'm not doing anything–"
"Mr. Phoenix should apologize to her majesty." Dahan-dahan itong tumingin sakin.
"I'm sorry for my rude behaviour Princess Snow."
"If I lose, I'll quit." Hindi ko alam kung bakit ko nasabi ang mga salitang iyon. Pagtama nang tingin namin ni Lady Rebel ay mukhang dismayado siya sa sinabi ko.
"But if I win, you'll beg on your knee for forgiveness." I'm not immature. I just wanted to end this discrimination among women being a swordsman.
"Or Mr. Phoenix is scared to accept the Princess's challenge?" Sarkastikong sambit ni Lord Travelyan.
"My eyes are good at judging. I will not lose. You know the rules Lady Ainsworth. You can't teach the Princess anymore. You're one of the judge after all." Kumpiyansang sambit ni Mr. Phoenix at pinagpatuloy na ulit ang klase.
It's silly of me to set that kind of proposal. But It's the only way to end this fear.
"You just improve a little yet you have that kind of guts. I'm impressed." Mabilis na natapos ang pagtuturo kaya maaga kaming nakatakas mula sa nakakasakal na klase.
"I thought you're disappointed." Napabuntong hininga naman siya bago tumingin sa harapan.
"I think I'm worried than disappointed." She looks at me as she smiles.
"But I trust you, Princess Snow. You're the strongest among all Princesses that I've ever met." If there's anything that I need right now...
It's just those comforting words coming from her mouth.
"You can achieve anything if you believe in yourself."
"I'm your instructor after all. Alam kong hindi mo 'ko bibiguin."
"I have to go Princess Snow. Please join the circle and rest your mind."
She bows slowly as she left me in the hands of Lady Eunacia. "Nagiging close na kayo. And that's a good thing isn't it?"
"Lady Rebel just cheers me up."
"Ohh, it's because the competition is near right?"
Habang lumalakad kami ay ramdam ko ang mga magagaan na hanging dumadampi sa balat ko.
Pagkaupo namin sa lamesa ay nagsimulang mag-ingay ang bibig ni Lord Travelyan at ikinuwento pa talaga ang paghahamon ko sa isang guro na ikinatawa ni Prinsesa Victoria.
"Really? You challenged him? That's impressive!"
"I trust Princess Snow's ability." Ngiti naman sakin ni Lady Xiu. "After all, Lady Rebel is indeed Princess Snow's instructor." Natatawang sambit naman ni Lord Strauss.
"Speaking of Lady Rebel, where is she?" Tanong naman ni Lord Harace kaya tumingin silang lahat sakin.
"She said, she's going somewhere." At hindi niya rin sinabi kung saan. "Must be on the student council." Sambit naman ni Lord Travelyan.
"She's a part of the student council?" Tanong ko na ikinabuntong hininga ni Lady Eunacia tsaka nagsalita.
"She's the representative of swordsman department after all."
"We sure look up to Lady Rebel." Sambit naman ni Lady Scarce.
"Oh my, I remember you being rude towards Lady Rebel." Sambit ni Lady Xiu habang nakatakip nang pamaypay ang mukha niya.
"Bury my attitude on the past Lady Xiu." Pairap pang sambit ni Lady Scarce.
"So, what's your plan?" Tanong sakin ni Lord Travelyan. "Do my best?" Kailangan pa ba talagang itanong ang bagay na ya'n?
"Can you beat them?" Tanong naman sakin ni Prinsesa Victoria. "I'm not a student of Lady Rebel for nothing."
"THAT'S THE SPIRIT!" Lord Travelyan raise his glass as he looks at us. "Cheers for the advance victory of Princess Snow!"
Ang akala ko ay babaliwalain lang nang ibang estudyante ang pagsigaw ni Lord Travelyan pero mukhang nakuha niya talaga ang atensyon nila.
"Cheers for the victory!" Tayo ni Prinsesa Victoria na sumasabay sa kalokohan ni Lord Travelyan.
Unexpectedly, all students raise their glasses as they shout the word 'VICTORY'
