Chapitre 6: Setting Sail

5 days later.

30 elites of the 'Radiant Light' Guild stood next to each other. They were all informed about the current expedition, so they all wore serious faces and were prepared for anything that may happen.

They Will set sail The moment when the emissaries from the 'Seekers of Dao' Guild have arrived.

Infront of the these 30 elites stands, Stan. He was overlooking the 'Radiant Light' Guild elites and couldn't help but feel proud seeing how they behaved.

These men have gone through a lot of hardships from everything they experienced, and that is what has shaped them into the elites they are now.

It took Stan 5 days for all the elites to gather today, as they were scattered all over the Darwins Kingdom for there own reasons and also for the Guild. While the preparations were already completed 3 days ago.

While Stan was daydreaming about his elites, several cloaked men that were wearing the 'Seekers of Dao' Guild emblem appeared not far from the entrance of the Silvermoon piers.

Currently, Stan and his Guild members are at the Silvermoon piers in Airedale town. Airedale is a town that's located at the edge of the island. This is one of the few places in the Darwins Kingdom where Airships are being docked.

And right behind Stan stands one of such Large airships, quietly floating in the sky.

The airship looked truly magnificent to the cloaked men. Even though the 'Seekers of Dao' Guild have there own airship, they still couldn't help but feel awed as they look towards the airship that's is currently floating behind Stan..

The entire airship was made strong, light and flexibly in its construction. The front and rear of the ship had a different shape. The prow of the Airship was straight and long, while build at the rear, magical engineered propellers can be found.

There were two sails that is connect to the prow and covers the entire deck of the airship. It was requested by Stan that the Airship had to be made out of the purified bones from Undead beings. which is why the airship looks as white as the clouds in the sky.

Having the Airship made out of bones, that was a whimsical idee of Stan when he thought how unique and cool it would look like.

Every time he looked at the finished product, he was more that satisfied.

The airship was truly beautiful.

One of the cloaked men was now walking towards Stan.

When the distance between each other was closed. The man took of his cloak and his face was revealed.

Instantly Stan was feeling sour, as he started Frowning. "Greg?"

"What are you doing here?"

Getting a sour look from Stan didn't come as a surprise to Greg. He just ignored Stan's behavior and answered,

"As per the agreement that was made 5 days ago, we have bern chosen to represent the 'Seeker of Dao' Guild, who will make sure that everything you obtain is fairly distributed"

As Greg was speaking, he pointed towards the cloaked men standing behind him.

Of course Stan remembered The agreement he made with Chen Mo.

He also remembered how Greg drew his sword on him. Which gave Stan a bad impression about Greg.

"So it's just you and those five?", Stan just didn't like Greg. He wanted to move on from this conversation and set sail already.

Greg gave a silent nod, as he could already guess what was on Stan's mind.

"Great, then we can all go onboard and set sails."

After Stan took care of Greg, he wanted to address the 30 elites who were still standing in front of him before setting sail. So he gave a slight signal towards Ian.

Ian saw this and immediately understood what Stan wanted to do.

That is because Stan always gave a speech before they were leaving the island for a mission.

So Ian took a step forward and began to shout towards the 30 elites loudly, "ATTENTION!!"

"The Guild leader has a few things to say before we will head out!"

When all was said, Ian took a step back again while Stan takes his spot.

It was quiet for a moment, as Stan started looking serious towards the faces of each and every one that gathered here.

He knew that it is possible that some of them may not return from this exploration, and it pained his heart.

Stan took the pose of a commander overlooking his army and opened his mouth,

"I know it has been hard for you guys because of the Guild funds, but today we will be setting sails towards a newly discovered island."

Stan let's his words sink in before he continued.

"Because it is a newly discovered island, it is uncertain what danger we may face, for some of you this could even be your last mission."

Even when Stan said this there was not a single reaction from the 30 elites. Which made Stan secretly pleased, but he didn't let it show on his face.

"You all have families on this island, so I will give you all one last chance to walk away from here. I can assure you that no one will despise you for this."

Although all 30 elites knew this, none decided to walk away and give up on the opportunity to explore a new island.

As the saying goes, with great dangers comes great rewards.

It still made Stan relieved that none of his Guild members decide to walk away, because it would then be less dangerous. It was a good thing nobody walked away.

With that pressure off Stan's back, there was no longer any guilt on his mind.

"Then what are you all waiting for? Get your asses onboard the airship!"

And the 30 elites all replied at the same time with a,

"YES, SIR!"

After that said everyone started to board the airship in a orderly manner, with a serious behavior.

Seeing that the boarding of the men and goods was going smoothly without any troubles, Stan decided to take a rest in the captain's quarters onboard the airship.

That was until he saw Greg and his cloaked goons hurdled together. They were looking like abandoned puppies to Stan.

It was quite the funny sight, but Stan really didn't want to deal with Greg.

Luckily he had a solid solution for this, as he called for his best friend, the current Vice-Guild leader, Ian.

"Ian! Make sure to lead our guest onboard."

What else is a Vice-Guild leader for, if not to do the work a guild leader doesn't want to do?

While Ian was acutely glad about Stan's arrangement. This way he won't need an excuse when he is talking to Greg. So they can discuss their plan without suspicion.

As time went by, everyone was onboard and everything was ready, so Stan gave the order to set sail.

Even at this moment, Stan still didn't know that this would be his last mission...….
