Chapitre 8: Chapter 7
At this time Adrian was walking through the jungle. It has been few days as he has covered quite some distance. During his journey he met saw few animals and small creatures. He didn't bother to kill them as they were too small or weak to even power him up.
So he walked through the forest and kept on walking until he was mentally exhausted. He sat under a tree and looked at the sky.
"I hope that my colleagues are all right." He whispered. Although he didn't talk or interacted much with them he was still on friendly terms with them. It would be really saddening if they were to die out here.
"It's better that I sleep otherwise I would keep thinking about unnecessary things." Adrian had actually found out that he could actually hibernate from the system. It would temporarily put his body to hibernate and he could enjoy the feeling of sleep. So he has used this feature quite sometimes whenever he was mentally fatigued. He would find a hiding spot and go to hibernation for hours.
*Boom* As he was going to hibernate he heard a loud explosion which shook the forest. He quickly got up and looked at the direction of the smoke which could be see floating above the trees.
"Let's check out what's going on." Saying that he quickly rushed at the area smoke was coming up.
When he reached the place he saw that it was an open space inside the forest. A giant temple stood in the middle with ancient texture. In front of it was a giant snake which seemed to be 20 to 30 meters long and 5 to 6 meter wide. It's body was covered with shiny black scales and it's eyes are green with slits. It was hissing at what looked like a humanoid figure which seemed to be 4 to 5 meters tall. It's body was completely covered with dark red armor. The helmet on its head covered his head and had a silver crown on it. Only two burning orbs could be seen through the space left for the eyes. A black tattered cape shrouded it's body which was attached with a fur on its shoulder and it also had a giant black great sword in its hand. A crimson aura was radiating from its body. Looking at this Aura Adrian felt instinctive fear which he couldn't explain.
*Ding* [ Shadow serpent { Mid level}]
*Ding* [ ???]
'What even the system can't show the name or level of this knight like being' He thought with a shock as he checked the notification.
At this time the snake which was hissing at the knight released a dense black mist from its body and it slithered at a blinding speed at the knight. Its body seemed quite illusory at this moment. But before it could even bite the it's body was sliced into pieces. The knight had his sword lifted and and a slight drop of green blood fell from its edges.
'I couldn't even see his movement!!!' Adrian mentally screamed looking at the sliciced up pieces of the snake with fear.
The knight looked at the pieces of the serpent before looking at the temple. It then turned around and swung it's sword twice in the space in front of it like a cross pattern. Suddenly a cross black light appeared in front of it where it had slashed. The cross shaped light suddenly expanded and opened up. It turned into a portal in which the Crimson knight walked. The portal than disappeared and the area fell into a dead silence.
"Did that guy ripped hole in space and time?!!! Shit that was legit awesome." Adrian whispered as he looked at the place where the crimson knight disappeared.
"That guy could open portals. Yes it seems like u would need similar ability if I want to travel to different spaces." He thought. He then waited there for a few hours making sure that no one else came, after which he moved towards the temple slowly.
He stopped near the sliced up corpse of the Shadow Serpent and felt that it's soul and essence hasn't yet dispersed. So he absorbed them quickly.

Seeing his gains he was quite satisfied. He hadn't thought that he could absorb the soul and essence of a powerful mid tier beast this easily.
With this thoughts in his mind he walked in front of the gate of temple. The gate was huge as he had to look up to see the entire thing. He pushed the gate which made creaking noise and entered the temple.
Inside the temple he could see a large hall due to the broken hall which allowed moonlight to enter and illuminated the room. It seemed quite old and ancient. There were benches arranged in rows and he could also see murals on the walls. They were of creatures that looked like demons fighting against what looked like angels. The battlefield was that of the starry sky filled with countless stars. And above them was a figure if a being whose entire body seemed to be made out of light and has three eyes.
He looked around and found an altar and behind the altar was a giant statue of a almost naked woman whose private parts were covered with floating clothes. There were two pairs of angelic wings attached to the back of the statue. The head was full of wavy long hair and it's eyes were covered with a cloth. In its left hand it carried a long sword while a spear in it's right hand.
"Is she a goddess?!" Adrian muttered as he neared the altar.
*Ding* [ Statue of Kismet the Goddess of Judgement]
"Goddess of Judgement eh." He said as he went past the altar near the statue. There under the statue he could see a pedestal on which words were inscribed and a circular medallion was stuck in a hole. He tried to read the words but couldn't.
"Hey system cab you decipher these words." He asked.
*Ding* [ To open the doors to power get the three seals]
The system informed him about it. He looked at the medallion which was attached to the pedestal and thought,' Hum this thing might be the key to that power thing. I should take this.' He said as he pulled out the medallion and kept it in his inventory.
&Rumbleee* As he was the turning to return to the gate the temple shook and the gate was blasted open. In front of the threshold stood the figure of the crimson knight whom Adrian had seen before.
"You have got to be fucking kidding me!!" Adrian cursed under his breath as he saw the knight slowly walked inside the temple.
