I was becoming someone else when I was with her. Alex confessed he liked the new me better. At first, when he said that to me on the way up to my hotel room, I was a little offended, but when I looked at him and saw he was not mocking me, I started to process his words.

"You are in a better mood since you found her, she brings out the best in you," He said as he stared at the elevator's door without looking at me, all trace of jokes entirely absent. I didn't reply, he wasn't expecting any response either.
