Chapitre 31: Old Larry (2)

May was almost done reporting to Old Larry. There was just one thing she hadn't told him yet.

«Can we get back to my kidnapping for a moment?» she said.

«Sure.»

«We have a mole,» she declared with the stoic, dramatic tone of a movie hero.

«Oh, yes, I know,» Old Larry said. He even smiled at her when she scoffed and rolled her eyes.

Talking with him was no fun. Every time she brought him new intel, he would tell her he already knew everything. Yet, he continued asking. He loved to confirm his information over and over.

«The mole is under control,» he said.

«I'll surprise you before I die,» May murmured, narrowing her eyes and crossing her arms.

«You already have done so,» he replied. But he didn't tell her when that happened.

«I wasn't paying attention then, what a pity,» she sighed.
