Prologue
Sometimes being in a relationship could transform you into a different person. Although it depends on how you handle your commitment with your partner.
You could be happy and fortunate if you're one of the million people who have luckily found the right one. Or be badly broken and be in pain for a long time, if your heart has pointed you to the wrong person.
Does it sound fun? Exciting? Adventurous? Or scary?
All these feeling were all part of what we call love.
Feeling hurt was always a part of it. You just have to accept the pain until you realize the real reason you are experiencing it.
We can't avoid the consequences of being madly in love from happening as we all know that we can't control things as much as we wanted to. There are people who play it safe, but how could you enjoy the upside-down-with-matching-rocky-road feeling if you stay on the safe side? Sometimes, you also have to take risks for you to find the right one.
What about hiding a relationship? At first, it may sound bad, weird, and a big crime. But hiding it doesn't mean you're in an unfavorable relationship....but that's partly true.
"Why won't you let them know about us? I will protect you no matter what it takes." King said.
"You can protect me, but I can't do the same for you. I can't just ignore all the negative words that they will throw at you and I won't accept it ever this turns out to be the reason of our separation." I answered.
It could also mean that you're just protecting each other. Preventing certain things from happening which might create problems later on and hurt the person who's important to you.
Just like having a sock with a hole and an expensive shoes. You're afraid to use them because people might laugh and feel pity towards your shoes for having a not so deserving sock, so better just hide your shoes.
Those moments when you feel so small and do not deserve to be with that person. The feeling that I always feel every time I am with him. Because in this story, believe it or not?
