Chapitre 32: Night of the Massacre
Later that night they were walking around the camp on patrol.
"So, boring tonight," said Phil.
"Yeah, but it is easy work," said Schaffe.
"True," said Ian.
Somewhere near the village, Brotherhood scientists were working on a satellite dish while Max was watching.
"It should be all set sir," said a Scientist.
"Let us begin our operation when we get back to the airship," said Max.
"Yes sir," said a Scientist. They all head back to the airship.
They were walking around the village when Schaffe started to hear a pitch noise in his ears and started to get a headache.
"You okay dude?" asked Ian.
"Yeah, man will head…," said Phil before they were surprised when they watched Schaffe Morph in a deathclaw. He starts to go around and go berserk smashing the house and starts to slaughter the people around him as any animal would when scared to defend themselves.
"Shit! Run away!" yelled Phil. Schaffe would end up slaughtering most of the people in the refugee camp and would become the most infamous mysterious story in the wastelands of The Deathclaw who looked like a human killing nearly a thousand people known as Diablo.
Later that night Ian was running around the old building site he had lost his right arm to Schaffe trying to help people escape. It was near the satellite dish.
"What the fuck is going on?" questioned Ian to himself. He would hear Schaffe running after him still in his deathclaw form. Ian sees a crawl space and attempts to crawl in it. But before he got to Schaffe bite his left leg. Ian was in pain feeling his leg get crushed and torn off. Ian gets a combat knife in his left hand and stabs him in the face which makes him stagger back into the building and fall on top of him. Which also caused a wire connected to the dish to rip turning it off. Phil and Alan would find Ian sitting there.
"You, okay?" asked Phil.
"In pain. My arm is gone and my left leg is not moving," said Ian.
"Let's get him up," said Alan. They see the rubble move and see Schaffe getting up and falling back down as he morphs back to his human form knocked out.
"Schaffe?" questioned Phil. He runs off and feels his chest and feels a heartbeat. Alan gets a handgun out in his right hand and aims at Schaffe's head.
"He's a monster," said Alan. Phil gets up and grabs Alan's right wrist and holds his arm up.
"Are you fucking stupid! He is our friend!" yelled Phil.
"Look at what our friend has done! He killed all these people who just wanted a new start!" yelled Alan.
"I…," said Phil. He realized that he was right nothing could be undone from what had happened to Schaffe and the people who were there. Alan gets released and aims again but after a few minutes, Alan knows he cannot shoot his friend and drops his gun. Phil would see the wire that was connected to the dish and see the Brotherhood logo on it.
"What?" asked Alan.
"They did this to him," said Phil as they saw the dish and knew who made Schaffe change into a deathclaw and the rain would start to pour down.
