As soon as Colin finished dressing he came downstairs to be greeted by Marc with a hug and a scorching kiss. Sean and Ian giggled, and Colin shot his friends a self-satisfied grin.

They first toured the downstairs. The back of the house had huge glass windows overlooking the lake. Colin hadn’t noticed a door to the greenhouse tucked in the corner where there were fresh vegetables growing in huge pots until Marc pointed it out to him. He opened the greenhouse door and felt the warm, moist air.

Marc said, “We use hot water that continually circulates through the house to heat the greenhouse and to supplement the house’s heating system. Black lights give the plants artificial sunlight when snow covers the roof.”
