"Do you remember Inari, the goddess of fertility?" Sarudahiko asked his sister. "The one who rebelled against the rest of the gods?"

"Of course, brother," she said to him, "I remember." She was the one who stood on behalf of the humans and against the agendas of the gods. "So much so that the gods had to silence her by twisting the legal system to keep her imprisoned indefinitely, or at least until the humans have been completely destroyed."

"Good," Sarudahiko commended, "and I bet the gods rarely talk about her anymore to avoid the curiosity of those who aren't fully aware of what happened behind the curtain." I can't say I blame them. But have you ever wondered why they chose to have her imprisoned instead of killing her?

Hiruda frowned slightly, but expected that sort of question from him.

"Killing her? Why would they want to do that? "It is wrong to execute a criminal without giving a fair trial, is it not?" Hiruda replied, "What are you getting at with this?"
