As the villagers celebrated around the bonfire, a traveler arrived with troubling news. Rumors had spread of a warlord named Dakaru who was terrorizing villages on the frontier, burning homes and fields while forcing men into slave labor in his army.

Takeshi knew they could not stand by while the people suffered. The next morning, he and his companions set out for the frontier regions. What they found broke their hearts—ravaged communities with only shells of homes remaining. The weary farmers shared stories of Dakaru's cruelty, conscripting their sons and threatening anyone who disobeyed.

Takeshi conferred with Jun and Aiko, devising a plan to rebuild shelters and gain the villagers' trust without violence or force. They would cultivate the land together as a symbol of the community's strength and resilience. Word of their efforts soon spread, attracting more volunteers.

However, Dakaru sent his thugs to intimidate the workers. Reminding them of Isao's teachings, Takeshi engaged the thugs in thoughtful dialogue, weakening their opposition through patience and spirituality.

That evening, Takeshi gave a rousing speech by the fire, inspiring the people to reclaim their autonomy through unity and compassion instead of submission or retaliation. "Together, our community is powerful enough to thrive without harming others," he declared to cheers.

United in spirit, if not numbers, the villagers worked as one over the coming weeks, preparing defenses and readying supplies, but not engaging further militarily. Takeshi was heartened to see order and hope rising from the ashes of this place. Their mission of establishing peace through faith, courage, and goodwill continued on the frontier.
