Chapitre 11: Chapter 11 - Initiation (Different POVs)
(A/N: POVs are in third person...)
[Blake's POV]
'Let's just finish this quickly.' She thought as she activated her scroll. It was an incredibly low level of light but for her it was perfect.
At first she was a bit cautious in case there were any traps but after a few minutes she sped up.
She dashed through the caverns without a sound and stopped only at intersections. She took off her bow and tried to listen to any sounds. The first two intersections had no sounds so she just picked randomly.
At the third intersection she had finally heard sounds of explosions and some faint yelling.
Blake put on her bow again and dashed towards the explosions.
[Yang's POV]
Yang's day wasn't stellar, walking throughout the caves that were full of dust or were very damp.
To make it even worse she couldn't fully utilize her speed in this place. To quickly leave this annoying place she just ran and ran.
Left, right who cares? As long as it was closer to her she would run there. Eventually the cave gradually became bigger and bigger.
"Finally some space, oooh my assignment is here too!" Yang used her Ember Celica to blast herself forward and before the Deathstalker could properly react it was blasted in face.
Yang retreated and smirked. "Let's test your shell shall we?"
The Deathstalker screeched and approached Yang. She blasted herself forward in response, using her Ember Celica she had narrowly dodged it's stinger and blasted it's pincers with a combo.
"You are one hard little fella aren't you?" Yang complained and once again engaged the Deathstalker.
This time it wasn't fooled and when it's stinger missed it slapped yang away. Mid air Yang quickly stabilized herself and in quick succession unleashed a few shotgun shots that covered the Deathstalker in explosions.
It covered it's eyes but it's tail was slightly damaged. Enraged it charged at Yang that had just landed.
It quickly turned into a contest of strength as Yang confronted the pincers. Using her swift punches and her shotgun she and the Deathstalker entered a stalemate.
Yang got more and more excited as adrenaline flowed throughout her body, not realising that it's stinger was already on it's way to deliver a huge blow until it was too late.
*Cling
Blake had appeared and blocked the stinger just in time and both of them retreated.
"Thanks! Let's turn it into paste!" Thanked Yang as she blasted herself forward.
Blake distracted the Deathstalker using her gun before following too.
At that moment Yang exploded and used her newfound strength to blast the Deathstalker away.
Blake capitalized on it and numerous wounds had appeared on it's back tail. It quickly turned around trying to take Blake's balance with it's tail except that it hit her shadow clone.
"Can you get rid of that tail for me?" Yelled Yang and Blake quickly took action.
Using her shadow clones to confuse the Deathstalker she rapidly closed in on it, meanwhile Yang was supporting her with shotgun shots and one got through striking it's eyes.
Blake used this opportunity to get behind it and attacked with her sheathe and gun in one spot. Not long after the tail couldn't withstand the barrage of attacks and got split in half.
It screeched in pain as Yang blasted herself forward. Now that it didn't have it's stinger she could comfortably duke it out.
Using her Semblance she gradually hit harder and harder and cracks started to appear on Deathstalker's armour.
Eventually it couldn't take it anymore and Yang blasted it's pincer to pieces before boosting herself and blasting it's head to pieces too.
"Nice work! I'm Yang." Yang said and put her hand up for a high five.
"Blake." Blake slightly smiled and high fived back.
...
[Fade's POV]
When Nephrite had given her a flashlight she just crushed it using her barehand before jumping down as the first student.
She accelerated at rapid pace without slowing down her fall at all.
*BOOOOM
A crack over 10 meters long had appeared with Fade at the epicentre. As if she didn't jump at all she just whipped out a fire crystal dust before lighting up the torch.
She waited a bit before the torch properly lit up and dashed inside the cavern protecting the fire from dissipating with her Aura.
...
[Neo's POV]
"Yea" Said Neo as Nephrite descended she soon did too and just jumped before opening her umbrella and using the walls to stop her fall.
She took out her flashlight Nephrite had given her and entered the cave while skipping on the way. It wasn't long before the ground below her started to tremble.
Curious, she sped up and soon arrived in an enlarged part of the cave.
There stood Fade and like a madwoman she was biting Deathstalker's tail whilst holding both pincers with her hands.
After few seconds of it going nowhere she got angry and threw the Deathstalker into the air.
It screeched in fear as it had already lived a few decades and a human like this never appeared. It was also the first time it was powerlessly thrown into the air.
Fade took out her huge club and waited for it to fall down. Except that Neo did not care, jumping into the air and pulling out a hidden blade from her parasol she rapidly struck all of it's eyes effectively ending it's life.
"HEY! That was my fight!" Yelled Fade and didn't care if she was her teammate or not. With her club in arms she used it to bash Neo that was still in the air.
However all she got was shattered pieces of glass that simply vanished not long after. Before Fade could respond she was kicked in the face by Neo.
"YOU! Fight me properly dammit!" Neo just struck out her tongue and started to imitate the angry Fade.
Fade charged at Neo but only pieces of the ground went in the air. As if Neo was dancing she kept deflecting or simply dodging her every strike.
From the outside point of view it looked like a destructive dance but for Fade it was different.
Because of her upbringing she always trained in the art of brute force and nothing else. She was beaten up more than any new-student however she was always beaten up with pure speed or strength.
Never had she been utterly toyed with like this. Suddenly she stopped, surprising Neo.
"Fine I guess you can be my teammate." Fade was stubborn but not dumb and they still had a Nevermore to hunt.
Neo just smirked at Fade and picked up the statue before skipping further down the cave.

[Blizzard's POV]
'Hehe let's show these guys!' Thought Blizzard as she threw down a cube that turned into a hoverboard and put on special glasses.
"Wooohoooo! This is the best!" She yelled as she was riding down the wall with the wind hitting her in the face.
Without stopping she entered the caves leaving behind only a trail of dust.
...
[Onyx's POV]
'Team...' He was thinking about the people he'd seen so far and honestly he would rather be with anyone but Blizzard.
"So loud... I guess she isn't the worst though."
"Hey! Who's loud?" Blizzard suddenly blasted her way through a wall that was next to him.
"Oum's sake woman what's your problem?!" Onyx yelled in surprise.
"You actually said a whole sentence!" Onyx just looked blankly at her before accepting his fate.
"Whatever." He said and walked further and further. 'How did she even find me?' He thought about it but soon shook it off.
"Hey! Wait for me!" Said Blizzard as she started pestering him again. Soon they arrived at another intersection.
"There's a Deathstalker!" Said Blizzard and she accelerated her hoverboard.
'How does she know?' Onyx wondered and quietly followed her. Soon they met a Deathstalker and Blizzard took out little Timmy.
"Alright Timmy show it how it's done!"
Timmy confronted the Deathstalker and was slowly pushing it back. The Deathstalker tried to hit it with it's stinger but Timmy easily dodged everything.
Meanwhile Onyx took out a spear from his back. It was 1.6 meters in length and as he channelled his aura in it the spear blade started to burn.
"Woah this weapon looks cool what's it name?"
"Lúin of Celtchar" Replied Onyx as he dashed towards the Deathstalker. He thrusted his spear at the Deathstalker and it blocked with a pincer.
What it didn't expect though was for it to start melting. It screeched in horror before Onyx melted it's head with a sweep of his spear.
Blizzard was stunned by the quick kill before she started pestering him again...
When Onyx had shined against the Deathstalker Blizzard too wanted to show off a bit and threw out a ball that turned into a turret. She threw a red vial in a socket the turret had before commanding it to spray down the Nevermore.
Within seconds hundreds of fiery dust bullets had shot the Nevermore quickly ending it's existence.
...
[Ruby's and Weiss's POV]
"How could you do such a thing without thinking?!" Asked Weiss as she was looking at the guilty Ruby.
"Hey! It died in the end didn't it?"
"Yes, and us almost too!"
"Jeez sorry then..." Ruby pouted and turned away. Apparently burying a Deathstalker in a cave wasn't the best idea if you have to also retrieve a statue from it and survive to tell the tale.
"Let's just kill that Nevermore and get this over with." Weiss huffed and the duo left the caves.
...
After leaving the caves Ruby went ahead to bait a Nevermore. It totally wasn't an excuse to get away from a moody Weiss...
"Are you sure this is a good idea?"
"Bwah what bad could happen? I just lure the Nevermore over and both of us finish it together!" Said Ruby as she used her semblance and vanished from sight.
A few minutes later a Screech could be heard and not long after Weiss saw red petals in the distance and a red blur approaching.
"See it's this easy!" Said Ruby as she appeared next to Weiss.
The Nevermore unleashed it's feathers once it saw Weiss and Ruby.
Weiss used her rapier and created an Ice Wall that blocked the feathers. Meanwhile Ruby took out her heavy calibre ammo and started shooting at the Nevermore.
"You think you can freeze it's wing so it falls down?" Asked Ruby.
"Yes, but I need to make contact with it first."
"Can you boost me? I'll bring it down for few seconds." Glyphs appeared and Ruby used them as a foothold before reaching the Nevermore with a few shots from Crescent Rose.
Ruby then kept slashing it's head and before long it lost control and crashed to a nearby peak.
Weiss took this opportunity and froze it's entire left wing rendering it useless.
"Quick end it!" Said Weiss and Ruby quickly accelerated and used it's war Scythe form to vertically slice it's head in half and ending it's life...
(A/N: A bit shorter chapter, really hard to write without it being the same thing over and over again, tho I probably did just that... And before anyone asks no MC hasn't even used his entire arsenal nor did he properly use his Aura which in fact is really potent. So he isn't THAT weak. He just used a light weapon against heavy enemies. It's like Blake can't cut down Deathstalker's Armor.)
