Hearing the alpha call out her name, made her heart skip. The grandeur of the place, and the set up of the place made her heart skip, as things seemed to get serious. She had never believed that she would be a queen up until that moment.

She was compelled to smile as the alpha walked towards her. His countenance seemed to have brightened up after he had ordered the members of the council to be thrown out of the place. The alpha's change in demeanor was something that she would have to get used to.

"Relax… you're smart enough…" she tried to remind herself of the words that her mother had told her. But it wasn't enough to steady her nerves, as the alpha covered the distance between them.

She wished she could have had someone to seek advice from, but all the queens seemed to be at odds with her. It was bound to be a hard existence in the alpha's fortress, and there was no turning back.
