"Not even a single child was found," Larry reported to Alpha Ryder. "It's even more heart-wrenching that all this calamity happened in just a few moments of your absence."

"Goodness..." Alpha Ryder was pacing up and down his throne room as he contemplated on the best way to get even with Alpha Charles. "What about the corpses? There have to be, at least, some traces of them somewhere."

"Nothing yet," Larry said, with disappointment written all over his face. "We couldn't—"
