Chapitre 4: Charles

Chapter 4

In the midst of the unfolding spectacle, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Amelia, the first and second Luna of Alpha Charles, rushed to Queen Charlotte's aid. They each took one of her hands, supporting her as they guided her drunk ass away from the party and towards the chambers.

The festival, filled with so many events and unexpected incidents, finally came to an end. The community members who had gathered for the festivities began to disperse, their conversations filled with the night's events.

The laughter and music that once filled the air were replaced by a calm silence as the crowd gradually thinned.

As the last of the guests made their way out, the once bustling festival grounds were left deserted, the remnants of the night's festivities the only evidence of the eventful night. The night had indeed been one for the books, filled with laughter, surprises, and a fair share of chaos.

But as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end.

"Charlotte what the fuck is wrong with you? How could you get so drunk like that?

Queen Elizabeth said her face stern and her voice filled with concern, reprimanded Charlotte. "You are Luna, Charlotte. You have a responsibility towards these people and the pack. You can't let yourself lose control like this."

Queen Amelia, always the softer of the two, chimed in, "Charlotte, what's the problem? Why have you chosen to be this gullible?"

Charlotte, still struggling to focus, mumbled something incoherent. The queens exchanged a worried glance, realizing the incredibly drunk she was, they both shook their heads at her and let her sit by her in a corner.

"Let's get her to bed," Queen Elizabeth suggested, her voice filled with concern. "We can talk to her when she's sober."

With that, they gently helped Charlotte up and guided her to Luna's chambers and they placed her on the bed, Queen Elizabeth, despite her disgust at the smell of alcohol, maintained her composure. "Amelia, do what you've got to do j can't stand her she disgust me.

Queen Amelia nodded, her kind nature shining through as she held Charlotte firmly, supporting her weight. "I've got her, Elizabeth. I will make her rest properly."

Amelia maneuvered Charlotte into her bed, taking care not to jostle her too much. Once she was tucked in, she stepped back, her face reflecting how worried she was.

"Tomorrow, we talk Charlotte," Queen Elizabeth stated, her tone leaving no room for argument.

And so both Queen Elizabeth and Queen Amelia left the room, Queen Elizabeth took a deep breath, trying to shake off the unpleasant smell that lingered in her nostrils. "I can't believe Charlotte would let herself go like this," she said, her voice filled with disappointment.

Queen Amelia, ever the optimist, tried to lighten the mood. "Well, at least the festival was a success. The people seemed to enjoy it."

Queen Elizabeth managed a small smile at that. "Yes, you're right. The festival was indeed fulfilling."

They strolled down the walkway, and they reminisced about the festival, their conversation filled with laughter and shared memories.

As they continued their stroll, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Amelia came across Alpha Charles' two concubines. The concubines' faces were stern, their gazes unfriendly as they stared at the Lunas.

Queen Amelia, ever the diplomat, offered them a polite nod. "Good evening," she greeted, her voice cool and composed.

Queen Elizabeth, however, was less diplomatic. "Is there a problem?" she asked, meeting their unfriendly states with a challenging one of her own.

The concubines exchanged a glances and turned to the two Luna before them as the asked

"Have any of you seen Alpha Charles? We've been looking all over place for him but we've not found him"

Queen Elizabeth and Queen Amelia exchanged a glance, their expressions mirroring their surprise. "We haven't seen Alpha Charles since the festival ended," Queen Elizabeth admitted, her tone thoughtful. "We were preoccupied with Charlotte."

Queen Amelia nodded in agreement, adding, "We'll keep an eye out for him. If we see him, why is there something going on that you want to tell us about?."

The two concubines again exchanged glances and walked their shaking ass off their sight.

"Such audacity!" Queen Amelia's exclamation echoed in the silent corridor as the two concubines walked away.

Queen Elizabeth, however, remained calm. "Let them be, Amelia," she advised, her tone steady. "We have more pressing matters to attend to."

Queen Elizabeth watched the retreating figures of the concubines, her expression unreadable. "Well, that was unexpected," she remarked, her tone dry.

Queen Amelia huffed in agreement, her eyes still on the spot where the concubines had disappeared. "Indeed. But we have more pressing matters to attend to. We need to find Alpha Charles and we need to talk to Charlotte when she wakes up."

In another part of the palace, Alpha Charles sat alone in his private chamber, a stark contrast to the lively festival that had just ended.

His mind was overwhelmed with thoughts, haunted by the revelation he had witnessed at the festival. The figure of the fiery werewolf face flashed in his mind like a persistent specter, refusing to fade away.

He leaned back in his chair, his eyes staring blankly at the ceiling as he tried to make sense of the memory. It was like a puzzle, a jigsaw that refused to fit together. He grappled with it, turning it over and over in his mind, but the pieces remained elusive.

The silence of the room seemed to amplify his thoughts, each one echoing loudly in the solitude.

"No, no, no," Alpha Charles muttered to himself, his hands clutching his head as if trying to physically pull out the tormenting thoughts. The silence of the room seemed to amplify each word, turning them into a haunting echo that bounced off the walls.

His mind was a battlefield, each memory a soldier in an unending war. The figure from the festival revelation kept coming back to his mind; this was too much. He felt as if he was drowning in a sea of confusion and uncertainty.

The more he struggled, the deeper he sank. It was overwhelming and suffocating for him all alone by himself.

The quiet room door creaked open slowly, the sound slicing through the silence like a knife. Alpha Charles' heart pounded in his chest, each beat echoing the rhythm of his anxiety. His eyes, wide and alert, were fixed on the door, waiting for the person behind it to reveal themselves.

The seconds stretched into what felt like an eternity. The anticipation was a tangible thing, a heavy weight pressing down on him. His breath hitched in his throat as the figure finally stepped into the room.

The light from the hallway cast a long shadow on the floor, the figure's silhouette tall and imposing. Alpha Charles swallowed hard, his throat dry. He could feel the tension in the room rise, a silent standoff between him and the unknown visitor.
