Matthew sat in front of his camera, taking a deep breath as he prepared to record a live farewell video for the Birmingham fans. He had announced his transfer to Manchester United, and he wanted to take a moment to thank the club and its supporters for their love and support over the years.
"Hello, Blues fans," Matthew began, a smile on his face. "I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you. Thank you for your unwavering support, your love, and your encouragement. You've been with me every step of the way, and I'll always be grateful for that."
Matthew paused, his eyes welling up with emotion as he thought about the memories he'd made at Birmingham.
"I know some of you may be disappointed that I'm leaving, but I hope you understand that this is a dream come true for me. Manchester United is a club I've idolized since I was a kid, and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to join them."
Matthew took a deep breath, his voice cracking with emotion.

As it's my first time writing I actually didn't think of adding timeframes which after seeing the question I also agreed it was a terrible mistake on my part but I promise I would start specifying what year and month the novel his from now on
