Chapitre 49: Clearly in-laws

Daniel was asleep, so I was pacing the room. We were stuck with a man I despise, far from home, and I began to feel a growing sense of terror. I was so weak, I couldn't even fight back. When I was a 100% Lycan, I was protected, but my witch half left me open to harm. When someone knocked on the door, I jumped. Amber was inside the door when I opened it.

I squeaked, "Amber," urgently trying not to belittle her.

As I passed past her and into the kitchen, Amber remarked, "I was wondering if I could talk to Daniel privately." As Amber and Daniel talked, I sat down and started eating a bowl of cereal. I completed my meal while Amber was still inside. I climbed the stairs in silence as my curiosity got the better of me. I put my ear up against the door, but nothing was coming out. When I opened the door, I saw Amber kissing Daniel on the lips. Daniel didn't shoo her away, and I felt my heart break.
