Chapitre 64: Sword and OWL Results

Art put his wand away and walked up to Justin. "What was that last spell of yours? I have never heard that language." he asked.

"Ancient magic from my tribe. Only works in our language." he asked, brushing himself off. "How about you? That last spell I have never heard of."

"It's a self created spell, I used the Patronus Charm as a base." Art explained.

"Created your own spell?" Justin asked stunned. Creating a spell was a tedious and difficult task that not any wizard could do.

Justin gave a bitter smile, "Looks like my loss is justifiable. Let's duel again."

"Anytime." Art said with a smile.

He then left the stage and headed towards his room where he found Newt waiting.

"How was your first day Art?"

"Interesting. Ilvermorny deserves their reputation." Art praised.

"Glad to hear that."

Art invited Newt into his room where they both took a seat.

"In two weeks we will head south and investigate the Hidebehinds with five Aurors from MACUSA." Newt informed.

"Anymore attacks lately?"

"One but they were saved by an Auror before the creature could kill them. The attacks have lessened recently due to the presence of Aurors." Newt said, he then paused, "The Headmaster wishes for a few 7th year students to participate. Giving them some real experience."

Art thought back to Justin and thought that he wouldn't hurt to bring.

"As long as they are strong." Art said simply.

"Algilbert assured me they were." Newt said calmly, he looked around the room. "It really is different from Hogwarts, isn't it?"

"Yes but there are similarities." Art smiled, taking out some books from his bag. "Homework for example."

Newt smiled and took his leave. Art broke open some books and started doing his homework. Suddenly there was a knock on the door.

Opening the door, he saw Shelby and Natasha standing there.

"Can I help you two?" Art asked with a smile.

"May we come in?" Shelby asked flashing her white teeth with a smile.

"Of course." Art said, inviting them in.

They both entered the room, Shelby sat on his bed while Natasha remained standing. Art saw Shelby give Natasha a look what she rolled her eyes to.

"I'm sorry. I was wrong about you." Natasha said stiffly, clearly forced.

Art looked at her funny until he let out a light laugh. Shelby also covered her mouth and giggled.

Natasha was furious and glared viciously at Art.

"Don't worry about it, clearly you have issues with purebloods." Art said, brushing it off.

"Maybe I just have a problem with you?" she spat furiously.

"Must not like good looking, talented wizards. Your loss." Art teased, raising an eyebrow.

Shelby fully broke out in laughter now. "Hahaha, he got you there Nat."

"If I may ask, why do you hate purebloods? I know the majority of them are gits that believe they are superior but that is in Europe. Why would an american girl like you hate them?" Art asked curious. The girl obviously had a vendetta against them.

Natasha didn't say anything but simply left the room.

"Sorry about that, she has some family issues." Shelby said standing up from his bed.

Art nodded his head but didn't ask anything, not wanting to be nosy.

"I heard you defeated Justin… you surely are mysterious." Shelby said with a faint smile.

"I'm an open book." Art said with a smile.

"No you aren't… but you will be." she said with a smile and left the room with a skip.

"Strange girl." Art muttered, returning to his homework.

---

A couple days later, Art was sitting down in the hall eating lunch when a bunch of owls flew in. Four owls flew in together holding a large package and two letters. They caught everyone's eye as they landed in front of Art.

Art frowned and paid the owls before reading the first letter.

Art,

This is your sword you ordered from the goblins. DON'T OPEN IT in the open, it was difficult to sneak past MACUSA. Also your OWLs results came in.

Albus Dumbledore

Art laughed loudly and grabbed the sword before running to his room. Like a kid on Christmas, as soon as he entered his room he tore the packaging apart.

Art stared down at a beautiful black sword with runes engraved on the handle while the blade had a dragon engraved on it. The handle was also black with a gold trim around the guard. Art gently touched it like a newborn baby before picking it up. The sword was around 3ft long and double edged. Art gave it a light swing.

"It's light!" Art laughed with joy as he continued to swing the sword.

"Now let's see if Ragnuk did was I asked." Art muttered and ran his magic into the sword.

The sword seemed to shiver before shrinking, becoming about an inch long. Art smile and placed the sword on a chain before latching it around his neck.

He stuffed the other letter in his pocket before rushing to class as he was late. Entering the classroom, a stern looking plump woman glared at him.

"You are late Mr. Cason. Something more important that class?" Professor Thomas asked as she glared at him.

"I apologize professor." Art said simply taking a seat. He didn't know why this old bag hated him but at least she was consistent.

"Thanks for volunteering Mr. Cason to demonstrate today's lesson. Today we are practicing Vanishing Charms. If you would Mr. Cason." she gestured towards a cup, chair and vase.

Art let out a sigh before walking to the front of the class. He took out his wand and gave it a wave before the three objects disappeared.

The class was stunned, so was Professor Thomas.

"Well good job, please take a seat." she said quietly.

Art nodded and took a seat. The class continued as usual while Art took out the letter from his pocket. He read his OWL marks, a large smile appeared on his face.

Suddenly the parchment was yanked out of his hand. He looked up and saw Professor Thomas with his marks in her hand.

"Personal reading during class time, Mr. Cason?" she asked, looking down her nose at him.

The class stopped vanishing their objects and looked between Art and Thomas.

"My marks came in professor, I was just looking at them." Art explained, a vein in his neck bulged, giving away his frustration.

"Your marks?" she sneered reading the parchment.

"Yes, my OWL results." he said.

Her sneer soon turned into disbelief as she read through his marks. She wanted to say something but didn't and sent the parchment back to him. Art stuffed it in his pocket and the class came to an end.
