Chapitre 34: Deployment: VI & VII

Chyler was standing in the middle of her living room and slowly sliding the bow over the stings of the violin. Her fingers were changing positions pretty fast, as the soothing sound of Runaway by Aurora was getting from under her hands. Toussaint closed her eyes, savoring the moment of being a violinist, in her old, stretched shirt and flannel pajama pants that had been through so much already.

The day was filled with so many opposite emotions she felt, she wasn't even able to understand that. She clenched her fingers on the bow a bit more, as if it was the only thing able to ground her in that moment.

First, she was irritated. Of course she was irritated, Callaghan was behaving as if she was owning the place and knew everything the best. As if she was trying to prove she was actually a someone, worth something... even though Chyler had never even attempted to make her feel otherwise. Maybe Callaghan had some problems with her self-worth?
