Chapitre 52: The Attack
I wanted to wait for our meal to be over but I can't wait anymore so let's dance kitty” Fyneface said raising her hand to kiss it and pulling her up then he Immediately led her away from her seat towards the middle of the room but then gunshot could be heard loudly.
A lot of bullets whirred past where Felicia was just sitting eventually shattering the glass and Felicia screamed then Fyneface stood frozen in shock but he quickly brought out his own gun and fired back before his bodyguards rushed in immediately.
“Madam please squat down,” they murmured over and over again to Felicia but Fyneface could see her shivering with fear when she bent down.
He turned to where the gunshots came from looking angrily and immediately fired back consequently.
“Take my wife out of here and get her home safely then I’ll deal with this bastard myself. He was clearly targeting Licia and if I hadn't pulled her up for a dance, I would have lost her by now” Fyneface said and some of the bodyguards took Felicia out.
They even had to carry her out because she was resisting going home and he could still hear her shouts as she left.
“Let me go, my husband is in there and It's dangerous for him so please let me go” Felicia screamed when the guards took her then Fyneface sighed and turned back.
“The bastard probably escaped and he's most likely a hired assassin. But who wants my kitty dead? Fyneface wondered.

Meanwhile in Calabar, Erica winced as her father slapped her hard again and she couldn’t hide her pain because the slaps occur too many times that she was no longer scared of the pain anymore.
“You had a golden opportunity but you let it waste all because of your worthless behavior and you even had sex under my very own roof.
I'm so disappointed” Mr. Park said and Erica looked at him listless. Throughout her life when was he never disappointed, he's never been proud of her before.
“Go upstairs and pack your bags because I've booked a flight for you. Once you arrive there, Ensure you do everything within your power to seduce Fyneface .
Don't come back here without succeeding” her father said before leaving then Erica stood up angrily because he decided for her once again without even caring about her own opinions.

Esther on the other hand smirked calling someone and the person immediately responded
”Is the job done, is that bitch now dead” she asked impatiently
“No madam, the job failed woefully because her husband was around her and they got tight security as well” The receiver said and Esther hissed inwardly.
“You fool, just to kill one lady you cannot do it. Okay I understand. Just keep on spying and monitoring her and whenever we get another chance, we'll strike” Esther said then ended the call and she called someone else.
“Hello is she dead?” The receiver asked
“No, it was unsuccessful. But we'll get another opportunity soon so don't worry too much love” Esther assured.
“I'll give you more time Esther. My business is slowly dwindling and I need money to stop it from going bankrupt. Better act on time or else you know what I'll do” The receiver said and ended the call but Esther frowned.
“I'd better find a way to get that bitch fast” Esther muttered inwardly.

“Make sure to find out who was behind the attack. I'll be grateful if you do that sooner” Fyneface said as he walked into the house when he finished talking to the private investigator he hired.
After Fyneface ended the call, he checked the sitting room for Felicia but seeing she wasnt there, he walked to her room but before he could arrive there Fiona and Newstyle came out of their rooms glaring at him. “She's mad at me, isn't she?”
Fyneface asked noticing how upset they looked.
“What do you think bro? What did you even do to my sister in-law?” Newstyle asked him and before he could reply, Fiona interrupted.
“She wouldn't say anything and she was just crying seriously. Cousin, don't tell me she caught you cheating on her. Are you still seeing your sluts?” Fiona asked but Fyneface looked at her like she had grown two heads.
“Shut up Fiona, why would I do such a thing and how can you think like that? Isn't it evident enough how much I love kitty? I haven't seen any slut since our marriage. Fyneface defended.
“Then tell us what you did to sister in-law?” Newstyle asked looking at Fyneface curiously.
“I promise to tell you tomorrow but for now, let me go and appease the queen first because If I stay too long, she would get even angrier than she is” Fyneface replied.
They were blocking his way initially but when they heard what he said, they immediately made way and Newstyle did the I’m watching you sign to his brother but Fyneface simply ignored him.
When he got to the room, Felicia was already asleep without even changing her dress then Fyneface sighed thinking of how their first date was disrupted.
“We will surely go on another date soon” Fyneface muttered inwardly as he began undressing her slowly calling her gently but she didn’t respond.
“If she really cried hard, she wouldn't be asleep by now so she must still be awake.” Fyneface said as he called her many times but she didn't answer then he thought she was actually sleeping until he saw her fingers move which means she was ignoring him.
Then he chuckled softly as he wondered why she was mad at him
“Kitty are you still mad at hubby? I'm sorry”
Fyneface said as he advanced towards her on the bed and when I got to her, he slowly tapped her.
“Kitty, hubby is saying he's sorry, won't you answer?” Fyneface asked again but she slowly turned and when he saw her face, he noticed traces of tears that have dried on it.
“Whoever tried to kill my kitty is going to pay dearly for making her cry like this?” Fyneface assured himself inwardly.
“You are disturbing my sleep plus I have lectures tomorrow and I'm so tired” Felicia complained but Fyneface looked at her and apologized again.
“Please go to bed and let me sleep. I'm begging you” Felicia replied and Fyneface became angry because he has been apologizing to her but she was ignoring him.
“I don't get why she's angry at me. I did what I did for her safety” Fyneface murmured as he went to the other side of the bed to sleep.
He turned his back towards her hoping to feel her touch maybe she'll finally touch him and talk to him but all he heard was her light snore indicating that she was asleep then he gritted his teeth wondering how she could just fall asleep like that without being in his arms which felt so empty not holding her.
They always sleep in a spooning position that he was already so used to it but tonight they were sleeping apart and she doesn't even feel anything like missing him or something.
Fyneface closed his eyes with he sat up touching his hair in frustration.
“I give up, because I can't sleep peacefully knowing she's right beside me and I can't touch her. I'll just keep on tossing and turning on the bed all night.
Fyneface sighed and looked at Felicia who was sleeping peacefully.
“She's so unfair but remind me never to offend her again even if I don't know what I did this time” Fyneface complained as he walked out of the room.
Early the next morning, Felicia was getting ready for school but as she prepared she couldn’t help but wonder where Fyneface was because she didn't meet him on the bed when she woke up.
”I wouldn't even care if he was here because right now I'm on supreme ignoring mode. He did this to me when the matter of the shredding machine occurred but now it's my turn” Felicia said but the moment she added some finishing touch to her dressing, the door opened and Fyneface walked in carrying a tray smiling as he walked towards her.
“See I cooked this myself and I'm saying sorry once again” Fyneface said bringing the tray over to her. It was a breakfast of toast bread and coffee and it was the coffee she loves very much.
When Felicia saw how burnt the toast bread looks, she knew he really cooked it himself then she struggled to keep her laughter in seeing how messed his appearance was.
“He must have had a great battle in the kitchen Felicia said as she looked at him with a cold look struggling not to burst into laughter.
“I'm not hungry” Felicia said then Fyneface looked a little pissed off as he dropped the tray bedside the drawer and looked at her.
“That's it, I'm not apologizing anymore. You know kitty, I've never apologized to anyone as much as I've apologized to you” Fyneface uttered angrily
“Please do the honors of trashing the food as you go to college” Fyneface said and walked into the bathroom slamming the door angrily. Then Felicia carried the tray to the kitchen and stared at the food.
“This is the first time hubby was actually cooking for me so why would I throw it in a trash can?” Felicia said as he hurriedly packed the food promising to eat it when she gets to school before going out with Fiona and Newstyle. As they left, Newstyle asked,
“Are you okay now? Did you settle your fight with my brother? And what did he do to you?”
“Yes, I'm okay and no, we’ve not settled our fight but I'm not telling you what resulted to it because it's our own personal problem” Felicia said haughtily then Fiona giggled,
“He didn't cheat on you, did he?” Fiona asked looking at Felicia as she made a killing sign,
“I would have killed him and the bitch by now. He won't dare to do that” Felicia said then Fiona and Newstyle laughed because they knew she was joking and besides, Fyneface wouldn't even dare to do such a thing.
Later in school during the lunch break Newstyle Fiona and Feliocia all sat at the college park having their lunch because they decided not to go to the cafeteria that day.
They were all having their lunch peacefully until Sam came by and walked towards Felicia who diverted her attention from Fiona and Nestyle.
When they got talking, Felicia narrowed her eyes at Sam when he apologized for not checking up on her after that incident”
“How do you feel now” Sam asked and Felicia smiled while replying him.
“I'm okay now and thanks for the other day” Felicia said and Sam nodded while looking at the vacant space beside her cause Fiona already scooted towards her giving them space to talk.
“Do you mind if I sit here for lunch?” Sam asked.
“Not at all” Felicia nodded but Fiona looked at the both of them hoping Sam doesn't not try anything funny with Felicia and just then, a call came in and It was Fyneface calling.
"He's even video calling me. Perfect time for me to show him what's going on here?" Fiona said and immediately picked up.
"How's kitty? Has she eaten? Because she was in a bad mood this morning. I even gave myself a day off from work today so I can make plans for her" Fyneface complained but Fiona giggled.
"Not even a hello to me, all you are concerned about is your kitty. Well, if you must know your kitty is perfectly fine and she's eating right now. She's even having fun with a college hunk" Fiona said but Newstyle interrupted her conversation so she glared at him.
"You're such a gossip queen" Newstyle said to her but Fiona ignored him as she shifted the phone direction so he could see Felicia and Sam eating while chatting happily.
"I think Felicia heard our conversation because immediately I shifted the phone to her side she began touching Sam while laughing happily" Fiona muttered then she looked at Fyneface but he looked pretty upset "That's his jealous look signature and he didn't even say anything as he ended the call" Fiona said to Newstyle and they laughed over it.
"Woah he's so handsome"
"Look at his flashy ride, that's the latest model and It's very expensive"
"He looks too perfect to be human but what department is he?
"He must be a popular celebrity but he looks familiar"
"Oh my God, that's Fyneface Ken the college students chattered as Fyneface came down from his car.
He frowned wondering why they were so noisy because he never attended a higher institution due to his many enemies so he had to be home-schooled.
His bodyguards also came in with their own car and the students gasped in excitement seeing so many expensive cars and security until one of his bodyguards stopped one of the female students and asked for directions.
“The freshers were having a general class with their seniors” the lady said excitedly giving them directions then the bodyguard gave her a card to say thank you and as soon as the lady checked it, she screamed excitedly because it was a diamond shopping card and anyone who owns it, has VIP benefits and 95% discount.
Literally you pay almost nothing for whatever you buy and it’s pretty limited in the country because it’s like the second of a platinum card.
"Maybe he's here to see his brother"
"He just gave her a diamond card free of charge"
"She's so lucky" the students kept chattering
but when Fyneface walked in the direction of the department, The gossip queens and Kings gossiped amongst themselves.
"Wait, Newstyle is not in that department"
"Then, he's here to meet his cousin"
"Yeah Fiona, she's in that department" They muttered to themselves.
When Fyneface finally walked into the class, he was relieved to leave the noisy area then he reminded himself not to come to the school again but first he has to teach his beloved wife a very good lesson.
All the students quietened as he walked then they began to look at Fiona. But Fiona rolled her eyes knowing he came for his wife but the students were thinking of something else.
Fyneface spoke to the female lecturer in the room and after sometime the teacher nodded smiling and blushing as he winked at her while Fiona rolled her eyes again thinking her cousin's flirty behavior still exists.
When Fyneface looked around, he frowned because Felicia hadn't even noticed him because she was too engrossed in the guy beside her, a different guy from the one he saw during the video call and they were both smiling at each other while checking something in a book.
