Somehow, I regret ever doing that to him because he dislikes me now, but on the other hand I don’t regret it because I helped” Albert said, dumping down his cigarette in the floor before grinding it with his shoe.
“You should have requested for an ash tray or something instead of messing the place up” Ruby cautioned him.
“That's the least of my problems madam and back to you, I think you and my brother are up to something and it's obvious you like him now tell me, why was he sick a day before yesterday? He was so sick that he was unable to talk so I had to call to his doctor” Albert said
”Was he really sick?” Ruby asked, feeling guilty
”You didn't know?”
” Well.........I........" Ruby stammered but Albert interrupted her
“You see, I don't believe in that thing called love but I believe in going for what you desire because it will help you a lot so try it.
Lying and pretending are two very deadly things in the world, so dispose them while you still have the chance to do that Ruby. I'll see you in the office later” Albert said and left hurriedly.
”Pretence like what I’m doing right now is pretending not to love him in his presence, lying that I don’t love him, Ruby what have you done now how can I fix this? ”She asked herself as she walked back to the office
She never bothered to take the elevator or lift so she decided to take the stairs as her punishment untill her knee and leg began to pain her but she endured it till she got to the office.
She walked to her floor and kept her bag on the table before going direct to the coffee machine to prepare his coffee.
She took it to his office and saw him working on his laptop and he didn't even look at her direction as she dropped it on the table.
She worked absentmindedly and mistakenly forwarded the old schedules to him instead of the new ones and it made him come out of his office
“Ruby, follow me” Richard called with a calm voice
“Ok Sir” she replied and went with him to his office
“What were you thinking about when you forwarded the old schedules to me” Richard said
“I was… emmm...Ruby stamered"
”You know what, It’s ok. I'll be going for lunch with Janet” he said and started going out but Ruby looked up slowly and mustered courage before calling him.
“Richard” she called but immediately he turned towards her direction, her courage disappeared
“I’m sorry Sir it was a mistake” she said trying to hide her tears. He looked at her for a moment before opening the door and was about stepping out untill he heard her voice again
“Richard” she called again
“Whats wrong Ruby” he asked without looking back
“I love you” Ruby said, freeing her tears to fall while Richard stood still, holding the door. At that moment, it felt like all his requests has just been approved as a wave of happiness swept him off his feet untill Ruby spoke again.
" Please, don’t abandon me for Janet i beg of you” Ruby said in tears as she walked closer to him and embraced him from behind, clutching her fingers firm on his belly as she rested her head on his back allowing her tears soak his shirt.
“Please don’t leave me, I’m sorry Richard for lying to you about how I truly feel, I’m realky sorry and I love so very much, I swear” Ruby said to him still crying.
Richard unclipped her hands from his belly and faced her, looking at her directly as he held her cheek. Carefully, he cleaned her tears but it continued dropping
“Idiot” he said with a smile
“Richard, I love you a lot” she said
“I hate you” he teased
”Please tell me what I can do to make you love me back again” Ruby said, searching through his eyes.
“Don’t cry anymore and I'll love you forever” he said and she tried hard not to cry again.
”Please don’t leave me for my best friend” Ruby pleaded again.
”Come on, I’m not dating Janet and I'm not in love with her either. It has always been you from the moment i sighted you, all the show with Janet was for you to get jealous then I'd confirm if you love me just as I love you” Richard said.
”Are you serious?”
”Yes I am, so trust me when I say i love you very much and I can’t trade you for anything, but lying about your feelings because of Valerie pains me. Valerie is my past and now, it’s just the both of us because you are my future Ruby” Richard said
”I love you a lot my Cherub and I'm sorry about that as well, I was just being immature at that time but now, I’ve come to the realization that I was wrong ” Ruby said.
”Now see how you've damaged our beautiful face, it’s all swollen” Richard complained touching her face.
”I just couldn't control myself fron crying when I thought you didn't love me any longer” she said
”I apologize for pulling that sort of game with Janet too” he said
”No I should be the one apologizing” she replied
”I love you a lot Ruby, sincerely I do” Richard said emotionally
”I Love you more Darling” Ruby replied and he immediately embraced her tightly, feeling her breathe with a lot of joy inside of him.
Ruby felt on top of the world being in Richard's arms. They disengaged from the hug and stared at each other for a moment, smiling at themselves as her eyes scanned his lips that she has missed a lot and so did he.
He couldn't control himself by just staring at her lips so he brought his face closer to hers and their lips connected, crashing on each other with full force struggling for dominion. He took her to the the door so his hands can take full possession of her hips as they kissed affectionately.
Ruby kept pulling him closer as their lips kept pressing on each other while Richard kept rubbing her hips with his hands, later it moved to her butt, he caressed it as the kiss continued for over five minutes. Ruby broke the kiss when they were almost out of breath. They caught their breaths for some minutes before Ruby reconnected their lips again which lasted more than the previous one.
Richard proceeded in carrying her and positioning her on his desk but his system fell in the process but it didn't matter to him as Ruby clipped her legs behind him and kept caressing his whole body as the kiss continued, unable to get enough of him
"I love you Richard" she said slowly into his mouth
" Love you more Ruby" he replied breaking the kiss as he hugged her again so tight like she was his life
"I can't believe Ruby is now mine and mine alone" he said
"Me too, can't believe Richard is now my Cherub" she replied with a smile
" Let's skip work today and just have fun" Richard said
"It's not..." Ruby wanted saying but was interrupted by Richard
" Shhhh" he said, placing his finger on her lips while she held his hand
"Don't refuse" he said and she kissed his hand
"Let's go to where exactly?" Ruby asked
"Anywhere my angel" Richard replied with a smile as he attenpted to carry her down from the chair but she held his hand
"No, my lips aren't swollen yet" she said naughtily
" Oh really, so you have a naughty side!" Richard asked with a cute smile
"Sure" she replied and pulled him closer again in another kiss.
In the afternoon, Janet got out of the company during lunch as
Julius was s already waiting for her just outside the company beside his car. She hugged him tight
"Thanks for last night" she said
"No, it's nothing, I can do anything for my future...
" Future what?" Janet said but he smiled
"Well you'll understand" Julius replied with a big smile
"Fool" Ruby called
They actually went on a dinner date together last night and Richard just came to pick her up then took her to Julius at the restaurant and when they were done, Richard came back to pick her just to include it in their plan
"Where are we going for lunch?" Janet asked
"Optimum restaurant, another good spot" he replied
"Oh, and I think our drama was fruitful" Janet said when she sighted Richard and Ruby coming out of the company hand in hand with smiles on their faces
"Rubs Rubs" Janet said and widened her arms while Ruby rushed to hug her
"Thanks so much best, for making me realize how much I love him, thanks for making me come back to my senses" Ruby said resting on her shoulder
"It's ok baby just don't be a fool again next time because I'll spank you" Janet replied when they broke the hug
"But I commend you guys, I mean Janet and my Cherie. Your drama was one of a kind but you almost killed me" Ruby said while Richard laughed and Janet wasn't exceptional
"I know, but all the same it brought you back to your senses and I'm just happy about that" Janet said
"Thanks Janet"
"Love you Ruby" Janet replied and winked
"So now should we go for lunch on a table for four?" Julius asked
"No" Richard and Ruby chorused
"We need privacy so let's go differently" Ruby said
"Privacy right? Ok granted but Richard, be careful" Julius said knowingly
"Pervert what are you talking about?" Richard asked
"Just saying because her lips is already swollen, what will swell next?" Julius said before getting in the car with Janet
"Now I know he's a pervert" Ruby said and Richard hugged her not minding the people watching.
"People are watching us, your staffs" she said
" I don't care moreover, I can even kiss you right here" he replied and tightened the hug but Ruby immediately disengaged from the hug and rushed into his car then he smiled and got in as well.
"Focal's Lunch house" Richard said to the driver and he zoomed off
Later in the evening after they've freshened up, Janet began discussing about other things
"So now you know what I'm talking about. You're happy, I'm happy, Richard is happy and everyone is happy" Janet said, sitting across Ruby on the bed
" I love you so much bestie, what would I have done without you" she said with a pout
" You can do everything without me if you make your world void of fears" Janet replied
"Now if Valerie show's up, it'll be a mortal Kombat because I'll beat her up mercilessly" Ruby said seriously
"Now that's my friend talking, high five" Janet said stucking hands with her
"By the way you and Julius, don't you feel anything for him? " Ruby asked and Janet smiled
"I feel a lot for him, he's handsome, fun to be with, jovial, lively and hard-working. He's just my type" Janet replied
"Ok, so we should be expecting another bond too" Ruby said
"Maybe but I don't want to make the first move" she replied but was interrupted when Ruby's phone rang. It was a new phone Richard bought for her and he gave it to her during lunch.
She quickly checked who the caller was and smiled
"It's my Cherub" she said
"I'll excuse you so you guys can talk at length" Janet replied and went out
"Hey Mon Cherie" she said after picking
"I miss you" Richard said and She chuckled
"But we spent all day together" she said
"Meaning you don't miss me? " He asked
"I miss you a lot more than you can imagine, I wish you're here, I really want to sleep by your side" she pouted
"Then let's make this easy, come sleep at my house" Richard said
"Alright, come and pick me up I'll be waiting" she replied happily.
Ruby hung up and quickly got her nightie from the wardrobe, she kept it inside a bag while Janet came back into the room
"Don't tell me I'll be sleeping here alone tonight" Janet asked
"Of course baby don't be scared, my body might not be here but my spirit will be with you" she said.
"My friend carry your body, spirit, your soul and shadow. Take it all to Richard's house please" she replied and fell on the bed and Ruby laughed and ran out when she heard a car honk
"It's him" She said and ran into his arms in a warm hug, her nose catching the scent of his body with his cologne which was one of a kind. He kissed her neck before disengaging from the hug
"Into the car" he said opening the door and she got in with him by her side and the driver moved the car
"Ruby" Richard called and when she looked at him, he instantly began to kiss her. She couldn't resist it but she tried hard to
"The driver" she whispered
"It's nothing" Richard replied and resumed the kiss caressing her body and the kiss continued till they got to his house.
The halt when they arrived brought them back to their senses and they got out of the car and went in. Immediately they got to the room, Richy pinned her to the door and kissed her for so long making her lips swell over again
He broke it and brought his face down to her chest kissing her boobs which brought an ear-splitting moan from her. He smiled and pulled her upstairs and when they got to his room she sighed
"I didn't get the opportunity to have a full view last time, you blinded me with your lips" she said and he giggled coming closer
" I can't do without kissing you so get used to it" Richard said
"Ok a test will do, I'll close my eyes and you'll stare at my lips for three minutes, try if you can resist" she said
"Ok" he replied even though he knows the outcome already because her lips and the whole of her is difficult to resist.
She closed her eyes and he tried to stare but after two seconds, he pressed his lips on hers kissing her deeply but she broke it
"It's difficult to resist you my Ruby" he said
"Ok, close your eyes too, I'll try it" she said and he immediately closed his eyes expecting her lips anytime soon but didn't feel it even after two minutes
He opened his eyes and chuckled because she closed her eyes too. When she opened her eyes, they both laughed out loud
"When you didn't feel my lips in the first three seconds, your heart would have flown to Jupiter" she said
" I swear" he replied
