The lady held her cheeks in astonishment.
"Haven't you heard he has an envious and impolite fiancée?, Well that's me, foul-smelling bitch! " Valerie spat before exiting the hall.
“Now that’s one different thing I love about her, Straightforward to the point, no dilly-dallying" Albert said with a deliberate smile.
Richard followed Valerie behind until she got to the car and he went inside the car with her.
"Let's exit this premises, it's getting annoying" she said, not sparing him a glance
“Look at me first" he said
"I don't want to" she replied, gazing out of the window
"Why are you fucking being like this Val" He yelled.
"You don't get it? Because you permitted that bitch to seduce you! “She shouted back
“So you weren't there when I spilled juice on her face huh! " He said.
“That’s ok but, you should have slapped her too!" She screamed
He held his forehead in frustration and made to go out of the car
She dragged him back and kissed him deeply, he can't resist so he responded till she broke it
She rubbed his cheeks with one sorry look
"I'm sorry babe, I was just pissed off with everything going on in there" she said.
“So, you decided to vent out your anger on me?, No Val, things aren’t done that way" he responded.
“I’m sorry" she replied
He exhaled hard
“Look Richie, I'm sorry Ok" she said again
Kelvin’s House
"What are you doing here?" kelvin questioned Ruby who showed up at his residence that night
"Well, I called but you weren't picking my calls and you never bothered to call back. Moreover I missed you, that's why I came" she replied grinning cutely.
"But you shouldn't have stressed yourself by coming" he said.
“I shouldn't have come?" she asked
“I meant you should have postponed until tomorrow, it's very late" he said
“You didn't even care to know about how my day went, it wasn't stress-free, my arm hurts from extreme dishwashing".
"Sorry about that" he stretched…
She continued staring at him as he denied her access into his room.
She unexpectedly heard an unclear movement inside
“Is there anyone in there? She asked.
"Perhaps mice or cockroaches. You know what Ruby? I'll talk to you tomorrow, take care and I love you" he said speedily and kissed her before closing the door
She stood there speechless.
"Is he that exhausted?, He looks in a haste to get inside to sleep... maybe I really shouldn't have come, I disturbed him" she thought.
She gasped tenderly before going home.
Janet was just getting home when Ruby arrived home.
"How was the party?" She asked
"It was terrible as Richard and his so called fiancée wrecked it all" Janet replied. “So, where are you coming from?"
“Kelvins house, he was even too exhausted to see me off or usher me in" she replied sadly.
“You mean you stood outside all along?, Has he gotten a job now?" Janet asked
“Not yet"
“Then, what did he do that exhausted him?" Janet asked doubtfully
“Maybe he's just naturally tired you know" Ruby replied protectively.
“Naturally exhausted? By the way how was your day at the eatery today? She asked.
"It went well, but it's really stressful, my arm hurts" she replied
"A good boyfriend would have offered a good massage" Janet thought.
FOLLOWING DAY
"Why has Cynthia not arrived to work already ? Has she decided to take lateness to another level? Very well then" Richard said when he arrived his office and discovered Cynthia's seat empty.
He walked majestically into his office and sat, meeting an envelope on his desk. "What's this?" He asked no one in particular has opened it
It was a letter from Cynthia….
"My apologies Mr Richard Crown but, I'll be getting married next week Monday, and after my wedding, I doubt If I'll be able to continue as your secretary anymore with all the trouble you gave me, so it's best I quit early,...bye boss*
"Really? She quit without notification? how in God's name do I get a new secretary?!" He shouted in anger, trashing the letter in the bin.
He finally stood up and left for Janet's, just in front of Albert's office.
"Good morning Sir Richard" she greeted humbly the moment she spotted him.
"Janet, get me a replacement for Cynthia, " he instructed, not responding to her greetings.
Ensure to pick someone capable before Monday" he replied
" Definitely sir" she answered
" Rich, are you're flirting with my secretary? because, I won't condone it if Val comes here ranting" Albert said, entering the office.
" I'd be going off today because Cynthia quit. So, I'll resume work on Monday when I get her replacement" he answered and left
"Come, did he instruct you to get a new secretary?" Albert questioned.
" Yes sir, good morning sir" Janet greeted respectfully
" Janet, you look stunning this morning and I can't help but picture banging your soft ass this moment" he said,
"Excuse me Sir?" Janet said like she never heard a thing he said.
"No other secretary sexier than mine" Albert said flirting with Janet.
"Hand over the files for examination and take today off since it's weekend. So, I'll see you on Monday" he said and went to his office.
Thank you sir Janet said as she sat down on her chair.
" Oh!, Ruby I think it's your lucky time, can't wait to announce the good news to you!, She said happily, grabbing her bag.
A lady walked into the floor and just walked past her into Albert's office.
"Oh, I get it, I should really go to avoid hearing unpleasant sounds" she said and left immediately.
Val sat on a stool beside her cellar, thinking about last night

"This is insane!" She muttered, sipping her juice
"Only Richard is meant to turn me on but what I felt last night with Albert was different. She strolled round her living room reminiscing until her door opened, revealing Richard.
"Richie!" She called and rushed to embrace him.
He kissed her
"You're supposed to be at work" she said.
"Well, I took today off, Cynthia resigned" he replied
" I actually feel excited that she has"
"So, what are we doing today?"
"let's go for shopping"
"Ok let me change into something comfortable!" She said and went upstairs
"Val, u better wear something decent and not some revealing and tight fitted dress " he said
" Ok sure" she replied and made to go again
He pulled her back and planted another kiss on her lips before releasing her to go change.
He smiled as he watched her run upstairs
"My love" he said, taking her wine
He sat and sipped gently
" Richie" Valerie called, peeping from the balcony
"Yes?, You're supposed to be dressing up by now" he said
" I just think it'll be faster if you help me with it" she said and blinked
He laughed and stood up
" I should have thought about that, coming" he said and climbed upstairs..
