Chapitre 58: A Sad News
then when he touched her body, It was a little bit cold but she was still breathing.
The nurses wheeled her to a room and Fyneface was about to follow them when the doctor pulled him back. He looked at Fiona and Newstyle before talking.
“Mr Ken, I have to talk to you privately” The doctor said to Fyneface who nodded and followed him after telling his siblings to wait for him.
As soon they got into the office, the doctor sighed sadly then Fyneface frowned worriedly
“Is my wife alright?” Fyneface asked and the doctor nodded positively so he exhaled deeply feeling relieved.
“What about our baby? Is she alright as well?”
“That's what I was about telling you Sir, we tried but couldn't save your baby”,
We also carried out some tests and found out that your wife has been taking something that has large amount of sleeping pills lately and sleeping pills aren't recommended for pregnant women because it results to deficiencies in the children” The doctor paused when he noticed that he wasn't saying anything but then he continued.
“Because her foetus wasn't very strong yet and she took the sleeping pills consecutively, It caused the loss of your baby. I'm sorry for your loss.
But I really hope it won't affect your wife's mental state because of her kleptomania” When the doctor finished talking, Fyneface felt like his whole world spinned.
"My kitty, my poor little kitty" Fyneface exclaimed as he slowly walked out of the office with different thoughts.
"The baby, our poor little kitty that we have all been waiting for is gone. Gone just like that because of sleeping pills? but I've never seen kitty taking any sleeping pills" Fyneface said feeling very bitter inside.
"She's only been taking that snack. That means someone deliberately tried to kill our baby and succeeded and I couldn't even do anything to save our baby" Fyneface covered his face trying not to cry.
“I've failed you kitty, I've failed you because I couldn't save our little kitty and now there will be no little kitty or little hubby” Fyneface said as he walked to her ward but they wouldn't let him see her so he left.
When he got to the hall, he told Fiona and Newstyle what had happened and they were all so worried of how Felicia will take the news.
His parents even came to the hospital as well but his mum was really sad that she didn't even get the chance to greet her first grandchild, then his Dad suggested that as soon as the disaster passes over, they will investigate the sleeping pills issue.
The nurses and doctors had to force all of them to leave the hospital and they didn't let anyone of them to see her claiming she needs to recover and doesn't need any disturbance.
For the first time since ever since they got married, Fyneface walked into his house feeling hopeless and helpless like he has never felt before.
Early the next morning, Fyneface ran into the hospital not bothered about the umbrella his bodyguards held out for him as he ran towards the VVIP ward not worried about how wet he was because the doctor had just called him about Felicia causing a ruckus in the hospital.
"She's out of our control" The doctor said to him when he arrived and he could hear shouts and sounds of things being smashed as he entered the room.
He opened the door and was stunned to see the state his wife was in then tears immediately filled his eyes and clogged his throat.
“No madam, don't carry that Please, madam It's glass and It can hurt. You've not recovered from your surgery yet” The nurses tried to plead but Felicia didn't even act like she heard them.
She lifted the heavy glass vase with her shaky hands and smashed it on the floor then it scattering everywhere while some even pierced into her hands and the nurses screamed moving back because the room was now in an unrecognizable state.
Felicia walked around shakily and she couldn't walk properly due to the surgery she had but she suddenly stopped and cried out holding her stomach.
“My poor baby, I can't feel my baby in me. I can't feel him” Felicia cried as she stood again and picked another stuff to smash on the floor once more and her hands were now bloody but then the nurses screamed again and Fyneface finally let his tears out.
Since he was a child, he couldn't remember the last time he cried and his wife was in this state all because of them.
"Why did they do this to us?” Fyneface asked over and over again trying to find a desperate answer but Felicia turned around and saw him then she walked slowly towards him and smiled out in tears.
“My baby, My baby, My little hubby” Felicia didn't say anything other than my baby then the nurses took the chance and injected her with a sedative and she fell into her husband's arms with her eyes slowly closing.
“I need my baby, My baby” Felicia murmured even with her eyes tightly closed already. Fyneface took her to the bed and put her to bed slowly as he kissed her forehead and let the nurses dress her wounds.
by then the doctor came in and talked to him. “Sir if your wife keeps going at this rate, we'll have no option but to transfer her to another health facility.
Her mental state wasn't strong and this happened” The doctor said but Fyneface glared at him angrily
“Are you trying to insinuate that my wife is going insane?
Doctor listen up, I don't want to end up in prison that's why I won't strangle you right now. Never say this shitty stuff again. She'll be fine for me”.
Fyneface threatened and the doctor gulped in fear then he nodded and left Fyneface who stood starring at Felicia on the bed then he walked out of the ward feeling suffocated.
He hadn't even gone far when he bumped into Victor Ihedeiro the guy from Calabar who was Fyneface's long-term enemy.
Victor glanced at his disheveled appearance and teary eyes. “Aww I heard Mama's boy got a secret wife and they just lost their first baby” Victor taunted expecting Fyneface to at least fight back like before but Fyneface only shook his head tiredly.
“Let's see if you'll act this way when this happens to you” Fyneface said but Victor laughed
“I have no intention of ever getting married. Marriage is for pussies like you” Victor said. mockingly as he walked away.
If only he knew that Fyneface's words would eventually come to pass, he wouldn't have behaved so haughtily.
Fyneface sat on the waiting seats and made an urgent call to his office.
Erica laughed as she looked at the reports her spy sent to her .
"He's such a darling and I owe him many nights of fun. So that bitch is a Klepto" Erica said as she went through the pages again.
"No wonder there's a saying that no one is perfect. She was also pregnant but apparently she lost the baby last night that's why we couldn't find her. I'm really happy that all these happened in my favour" Erica said joyously as she continued searching about her illness and smiled upon seeing the results.
"So kleptomania is a mental disorder? Let me get dressed and go to the hospital to taunt her and maybe I can finally make her fully insane hence she already has partial mental disorder" Erica said and prepared herself then zoomed off to the hospital
As she walked into her room, she glanced at Felicia on the bed panting heavily.
Erica had to bribe some nurses and hid from some people before they allowed her in to see Felicia.
"Gosh, there's not a single nurse in her room. Bunch of fools, Why would they leave her all alone in her room? Well I don't care. I seem to have good luck these days" Erica said as she went to the bed and shook her awake she shook her roughly and Felicia sluggishly opened her eyes then sat on the bed staring at her fearfully.
"Is she already insane because she's behaving completely different from when we met at the office?" Erica thought then brought out her phone and showed Felicia a cute baby picture.
“This is your baby” Erica said whispering gently to Felicia but
Felicia stared at the strange woman fearfully and she looked awfully familiar. Immediately the woman brought out her phone and showed her a picture of a cute baby.
“This is your baby” The woman whispered and she smiled admiring how cute her baby was and just as she was about to touch the screen, the woman swiped the picture to another one but it was picture of that same baby covered with red thing all over and it looked like blood?
“Your baby” The woman smirked evilly pointing at the screen then Felicia looked at the picture and remembered what had happened earlier. She woke up in a strange room with lots of nurses and her cloth was filled with blood before she lost consciousness then she couldn't feel her baby when she woke up.
She hurriedly touched her stomach and screamed loudly. “My baby, my baby. I need my baby because I can't take this emptiness that I feel in me, oh my poor baby” Felicia mumbled over and over again shivering on the bed.
Fyneface rushed into the room as soon as he heard Felicia scream. He had only left for a minute to get something and as soon he came back, he panicked to hear her scream so he hurriedly rushed to the room. On getting there, he frowned seeing that there wasn't a single nurse in her room and Erica was there then he looked at Felicia shaking terribly on the bed mumbling something and his heart tightened painfully and he saw Erica trying to hide her smirk.
"The bitch must have done something to make her behave this way" Fyneface thought as he walked over to her but when she finally noticed him, the smirk on her face disappeared to a look of fear and she moved backwards slightly and tried to talk.
“Fyneface, trust me I didn't do anything to her” Erica said fearfully but a hard and loud slap stopped her words then she hurriedly held her right cheek in pain and Fyneface slapped her other cheek furiously then she screamed in pain and looked up but she gasped in fear as she noticed how angry he looked.
“What did you do to my wife?” Fyneface asked in a lowly and dangerous tone but Erica couldn't answer as she silently regretted coming to the hospital.
Her cheeks were still throbbing from the pain as her face gradually became swollen but Fyneface was still angry at the thought that she had the guts to come to the hospital so he rushed towards her and tightened his hands around her neck and gradually choked her.
Erica coughed out in pain and tried to scream for help but couldn't get any words to come out but luckily, a doctor who was passing by saw what was going on in the room then he pressed a button to summon help and quickly tried to rescue Erica from Fyneface's tight grasp.
Another doctor with few nurses came in and they succeeded in holding Fyneface who was still struggling while Erica staggered back in fear coughing loudly.
“Let me go, I've been forgiving all her misdeeds but today she's done something to my wife so I have to show her where she belongs” Fyneface said still struggling with the doctors as anger completely clouded his vision.
Erica finally recovered from the shock of being choked to death then she looked at Felicia and said haughtily
“She's not the first person to have a miscarriage and it’s just that she has a weak mental state making her insane from that little incidence. Fyneface, your wife is insane she's a mad person” Erica said and Fyneface was angered by what she said so he raged towards her.
“I swear I'm going to kill you” Fyneface uttered angrily struggling fiercely but he couldn't break out of the tight grasp of the two doctors and Erica took the chance to escape from the room because she wasn't ready to die yet.
The nurses then rushed over to Felicia and one of them brought out an injection of sedative and was about to inject her but when Fyneface noticed he immediately stopped her.
“Don't you dare touch her? You just gave her sedative and you want to give another one now. You guys are so incompetent and you want to kill my wife” Fyneface ranted and the doctors hurriedly let him go.
He looked at the doctor in charge of treating Felicia and said to him angrily
"I'm going to ensure you and these fools you call nurses here are sacked. You had the guts to leave my wife all alone” Fyneface said angrily and the doctor trembled in fear and tried to plead but Fyneface commanded them to leave.
As soon as they vacated the room, he went to the bed and hugged Felicia as she was sitting up with her eyes tightly closed, then her hands rested on her chest as she cried and said something quietly but Fyneface hugged her even though he could hear what she was saying.
"I can't take it, I can't take it anymore. My baby I need my baby Felicia said but Fyneface blinked back the tears in his eyes and gently rocked her like a baby.
“Sssh its okay, stop crying. We can make more babies. It hurts to see you like this” Fyneface whispered as he planted kisses on her forehead but Felicia doesn't appear to have heard a word he said.
She only burrowed into his warm embrace sobbing quietly and his shirt gradually became wet with her tears.
Fyneface kept consoling her until she finally fell asleep but the moment she slept and he was about to leave, she hugged him tightly not letting him go then he looked at her and saw that she's already asleep but she was stubbornly holding on tight to him like she was afraid to let go.
He chuckled and kissed her nose before lying down on the bed with her and thankfully, the bed was big enough to accommodate them.
After few minutes, he stood up from the bed but this time she didn't hold him back so he tucked her properly in bed carefully and finally he left the room.
He went to the doctor's office and immediately the doctor saw him, he immediately started to plead profusely again but Fyneface ignored his plea and said
“Make all the necessary procedure and paperwork because I want my wife discharged today.
