Their pleading voice was gut wrenching. Eve felt something twist in her stomach when the man smiled. But the smile was not directed to those kneeling workers but to her.

He stared at her and gave a snicker as if he was telling her that her tricks would not work on her. He was not weak like Crispin. His voice had the charm to scare others and make them sinners.

As if he was provoking her to stop him when he picked up a cane from the ground. She had seen it in the hands of father Crispin.

"Forgiveness without a cost makes sinners strong. There is always a punishment that follows the sin. So the sinner would always remember it. And never allow himself to sin again." he whispered in a soft sweet voice full of fatherly love and concern filled his face as he raised the can and hurt their ankle, back and hands just the way he was hurt.
