Eve caressed his cheeks when he leaned closer and looked at her with a begging expression. "I will do as you say, Damien. But I have missed you. I want you. Can you not give me what I want so badly?" 

"..." he stared at her obsessed eyes with a frown. Of course, he would kiss her before she needed to beg him. She was his wife, he had complete rights over his body. But a strange gnawing feeling clawed his chest as he took her in his arms and tried to kiss her. As if someone was stopping her.

The knight guarding the tent coughed. Helping him in escaping from his dilemma.

"Your grace, his majesty is here.'' Since the royal family was above the duke, the guard did not ask for permission. He just informed Damien in case the couple were doing something they should not.
