Chapitre 194: Putting Everything At Stake

"Have they left?" Jean craned his neck to see the knights. Oddly they did not look like one. Perhaps they have changed their clothes and behavior to disclose their identity. 

"Oh, you wish! I am sure they would be standing outside and planning their next step. They will return soon." She adjusted the table cover properly. But would it work? What if they searched for the room?

She gulped. "Jean… I need one last favor?" The man looked at her pained face and nodded. How the fiery woman was so helpless and vulnerable now. If only it had been him who she cared for. But he knew that he could not force love on someone. And this guy had already won the race. 

 "Can you leave from the balcony?" All alright, he accepted too soon.
