Chapitre 269: Inappropriate Behavior

In the baron Graystone's Estate,

"You have just become a handful since you have been injured. Could you not finish your meal silently so that i can go and look at other tasks. I am not your steward, Cotlin." Ember shouted with a deep frown on her face.

The man had returned all the maids sent with the meal. Could he not see that she was trying to avoid him. Why must he make it so hard? Her rage rose in her chest at that thought and she glared at him further.

Cotlin only stared at her for the briefest second before returning his gaze to the letter in his hands. He had written it last night and since then he had read it five times. The letter was meant for Diana. He was informing her that he could not marry her.

But he did not know why he had not sent it yet. This was the first time he was not following Damien's order. His hands tightened around the letter until it tore down and he closed his eyes.
