Damien swept his gaze on the number of nobles sitting around him. He was the one standing as culprit, yet he was the only one at ease in the room. Everyone else was stealing their gaze away as if they were trying to minimize their presence.

When they were told that Damien would be called for Open trial. They never thought that it would happen in Harold's bedroom. And they would be offered a circular seat. They were waiting to be lost in the crowd but was that even possible now.

They felt like Damien's gaze was making a hole in their body. They could not breathe, they could not speak.

Duke Clamstone cleared his throat, 

"Marquis Midnight Star had alleged to Duke Lancaster that the duke had tried to burn him. He had claimed that the duke had used his powers." he started as he looked at Damien nonchalantly. "And the church had confirmed that it was not an ordinary fire that had burned Harold Midnight Star."
